The lecture will tell about the last of the Titans of the Renaissance – Domenikos Theotokopoulos, nicknamed El Greco.
A native of the island of Crete, the heir to the iconographic traditions and a humanistically educated person, El Greco, created his own artistic language. Byzantine spirituality coexisted here with the delights of Venetian colorism, and the exaltation of Roman mannerism with genuine Spanish affectation.
The art of El Greco burst into the Spanish artistic tradition swiftly and imperiously, turned out to be only a bright flash and quickly forgotten. The artist, who did not leave behind worthy followers during his lifetime, gained them, influencing Delacroix, Manet, Cezanne, Picasso, Jackson Pollack.

April 24, 2019 at 14.00 hours in the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskogo will be a solemn transfer of the picture of the People’s Artist of the RSFSR, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Oleg Mikhailovich Savostyuk “House of Turgenev in Buzhival” as a gift to the Orlovsky State Literary Museum of I.S. Turgenev.
Life I.S. Turgenev from the late 1840s flowed between Russia and France. Acquaintance with the French singer Polina Viardot, friendship with French writers, musicians and artists spawned the classic writer with France, which became his second home. A wonderful creative atmosphere filled with poetry, music, and art has developed in the Bougivali, at the Yarseni villa in Turgenev. Here the writer spent the last days and hours of his life. For the Turgenev Museum in Orel, the Yasen Villa, which currently houses the Turgenev Museum in Europe, is the most important place that preserves the spirit of the writer. For more than half a century, friendly relations have been supported by the museum team with the director of the Villa Turgenev in Buzhival, Sorbonne professor Alexander Yakovlevich Zvigilsky.
In Russian fine art there are a lot of paintings devoted to Turgenev sites, but Oleg Mikhailovich Savostyuk is the only Russian artist who has depicted Turgenev’s house in France.
The eagle is the small homeland of the great writer, who retains everything connected with the name of Turgenev, the famous artist of the word who gave us a great sense of beauty, inalienable from love for the Fatherland and pride in it. In the museum of I.S. Turgenev, founded in 1918 in honor of the 100th anniversary of the writer’s birth, is actively collecting work of the Turgenev heritage; more than seventeen thousand items of museum objects are accumulated in the writer’s fund. And each receipt is significant and valuable!
The year 2019 is a time of comprehending the results of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the great humanist writer, the “envoy of Russian literature in Europe,” who contributed to the rapprochement of Russian and European cultures, people of different countries and peoples.
It should be noted that the undoubted decoration of the renewed exposition of the museum of I.S. Turgenev in Orel became the author’s lamp “Magic Lantern”, the faces of which are stained glass windows depicting scenes from the collection of stories “Notes of a Hunter” by I.S. Turgenev and remind the images on the front door at the writer’s dacha in Buzhival, which created the atmosphere of the presence of the motherland in the last refuge of I.S. Turgenev.
In the program of the meeting:
– presentation of the director of the Oryol State Literary Museum I.S. Turgenev Vera Vitalevny Efremova on events dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of I.S. Turgenev;
– audio recordings of poems in the prose of I.S. Turgenev (performed by actress Alice Koonen);
– the word of the People’s Artist of the RSFSR, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Oleg Mikhailovich Savostyuk.

April 20, 2019 VOKHM employees I.N. Kramskoy took part in the citywide cleanup.
During the work day the following work was carried out:
– cleaning of foliage and debris from the adjacent territory, asphalt and paved tiles;
– cleaning the blind area and the foundation of the main building of the museum;
– cleaning the foliage of the drainage gutter of the drain around the perimeter of the main building;
– lubrication of hinges and locks of all gates;
– cleaning the museum courtyard.
A total of 23 museum employees took part in the cleanup.

April 18, 2019 in the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramsky opened the exhibition “Nina Gaponova. Small world in a cardboard frame.
At the opening of the exhibition, Olga Ryabchikova, director of the art museum, noted that theatrical-decorative art is a bright page in the history of Russian culture, and an exhibition of works by Nina Gaponova will certainly mark the beginning of a series of annual exhibitions devoted to theater artists. And not only to people who worked in the theater, but also to those who, while remaining painters, graphic artists, dedicated their works to the theater. In 2017, Nina Ivanovna Gaponova presented the Voronezh Museum to them. I.N. Kramskoy about 120 of his sketches to theatrical works, thereby making a significant contribution to the museum collection.
Maria Mazur, First Deputy Head of the Department of the Voronezh Region, emphasized that the exhibition of a beautiful artist, a wonderful woman whose fate was closely connected with Voronezh, Nina Gaponova, opens a series of events dedicated to the Year of Theater in Russia. Since it is absolutely impossible to imagine the Year of the Theater without an exhibition by a theater artist, whose eyes the viewer sees this or that production. Maria Alexandrovna thanked the Voronezh Museum for thanking the wonderful exhibition that launched the exhibition projects as part of the Year of the Theater, and wished all visitors to look into the theater through Nina Gaponova’s magical works.
Literary and theater critic, member of the Union of Theater Workers Nikolai Timofeev spoke about his personal acquaintance with Nina Gaponova and her work while working at the Voronezh Drama Theater. The artist, who had a great life experience, survived the blockade in Leningrad, devoted her life to beauty and fantasy. That is why in the works of Nina Ivanovna such a riot of colors and magical warmth, her creations are an art of great significance, which inspired a large number of people to understand and love the art of theater.
Theater artist, member of the union of theatrical figures Mikhail Viktorov shared his memories of his acquaintance with the artist and her work, and also spoke about the specifics and laws of creating theatrical works that involve the execution of a huge number of sketches, drawings, drawings, etc. And what is important, all this, in the absence of digital technology at that time, was created by theater masters manually.
At the end of the opening, the museum director Olga Ryabchikova conveyed to all guests of the exhibition a big hello from Nina Gaponova, who, unfortunately, could not be at the opening, but promised to visit Voronezh soon to meet her friends and admirers.
On April 13, the museum held a lecture “In Search of Lost Harmony: Pontormo, Fiorentino, Parmigianino”, which was read by the senior museum researcher Valery Shakin.
A lecture from the “Palette of Faust” series introduced the participants to the art of Mannerism and its outstanding representatives – the younger contemporaries of the “Titans of the Renaissance”: Jacopo Pontormo, Rosso Fiorentino and Francesco Parmigianino, who can be safely called “avant-garde artists” of the 16th century.
April 7, 2019 in the VOKHM them. I.N. Kramskoy held another master class on the upcoming Easter holiday.
At the master class, participants (children from 8 years old and their parents) created Easter eggs from clay. The creative process was led by the Voronezh ceramic artist Arkady Chudakov.
After the class, all the items went to the workshop of A. Chudakov for firing. After processing, all author’s souvenirs will return to the creators and can become a gift for the holiday.
March 29, 2019 Voronezh Regional Museum. I.N. Kramskoy took part in the Inter-Municipal Festival of Design and Research Works “Museum Towards Children”, held on the basis of MBOU gymnasium No. 5 of the city of Voronezh.
The organizers of the Festival were the Department of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the Voronezh Region, the State Budgetary Institution of Higher Professional Education “Institute of Education Development”, the Department of Education and Youth Policy of the Voronezh City District Administration, the municipal educational institution of the Voronezh Region “Center for Development of Education and Youth Projects” Grammar school № 5.
The main goals and objectives of the Festival are to identify the best innovative practices of organizing museum-pedagogical activities, understanding the role of the museum in the educational space of modern educational institutions, supporting pedagogical initiatives to improve museum culture, developing creative abilities and involving students in design and research activities.
Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy was presented at the Festival by the head of the scientific and educational department of the museum – Larisa Kitaeva. In the program of the plenary session L.A. Kitaeva made a report on the theme “Cultural and educational activities VOKM them. I.N. Kramskoy. A child, as a full participant in the communication process. ” In addition, Larisa Anatolyevna acted as the head of one of the sections of the Festival in the nomination “Museum History”. In the course of the section, a master class on organizing and conducting a museum excursion was held, the active participants of which were students in grades 7–11 of gymnasium No. 5.

The exhibition, opening as part of the Year of Theater in Russia, will present about 50 sketches created for performances by the Honored Artist of the RSFSR Nina Ivanovna Gaponova, from the 1970s to 2010. All work from the collection of VOKM them. I.N. Kramskoy.
Nina Ivanovna Gaponova is a person who is selflessly in love with the theatrical art, lovingly gives up his talent, puts heart and soul into each new work. Honored Artist of the RSFSR, laureate of the RSFSR State Prize. K.S. Stanislavsky. A graduate of the theater faculty of the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography in the class of People’s Artist of the USSR, Professor N.P. Akimov and Honored Artist of Russia and USSR State Prize Laureate T. Bruni. She worked in many theaters, both in the USSR and in Russia and abroad.
On account of N.I. Gaponova has more than two hundred productions in various genres – operas, ballets, dramas, fairy tales, even television performances and concerts. Most of the performances, on which Nina Ivanovna worked, no longer go on stage, but on her canvases they again appear before the audience.
Sketches for the performances created by Nina Gaponova could be seen at many exhibitions, in her “portfolio” there are more than eighty: All-Union, Republican, International, personal and zonal. The artist’s works were published in the magazines “Theater”, “Theater Life”, “Artist”.
Pictures and sketches of scenery Nina Gaponova are in twenty-five museums of the country, including in the Theater Museum. A.A. Bakhrushina (Moscow), the Foundation of the Union of Artists, the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
