An exhibition of one painting by B.F. Domashnikov “Spring Song”

April 29, 2022

April 28 in one of the halls of the permanent exhibition of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy began an exhibition of one painting, representing the work of B.F. Domashnikov “Spring Song” from his own museum collection.

The painting “Spring Song” (1968-1969) entered the funds of the VOKhM. I.N. Kramskoy in 1971 from the Directorate of Art Funds and the Design of Monuments of the Ministry of Culture of the RSFSR.

Domashnikov Boris Fedorovich (1924-2003) – Soviet and Russian painter, People’s Artist of the USSR (1982), Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts (1997).

Boris Domashnikov enjoyed wide popularity since the mid-1950s. He was a consistent supporter of traditional art, but in this art neither academism nor the “wandering” path was interesting for him, but the path indicated by Russian artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries was interesting.

The freshness of perception of the world, new emotional assessments of reality, light and bright palette that characterize the work of Russian realist masters were very close to the artist. The bold coloristic school of A.E. Tyulkin, the purity and cheerful sonority of color, adopted by Domashnikov from his youth, were enriched by his own innovative features that made his style so unique in terms of composition and color.

With the name of B.V. Domashnikov is associated with the concept of a “pure” landscape, where the plot does not carry a semantic load, and the goal is the expressive transmission of the author’s deeply personal, chamber emotional experiences.

The visiting card of the master was quivering, light-filled birch groves and copses. The birch grove forever became the subject of his art for the artist and was the reason for the main motive in his paintings – the movement of color and light in nature, their significance in the perception of the life of nature.

B.V. Domashnikov, who devoted more than half a century to the service of art, will forever remain an unshakable authority in the culture of Russia, and his works will always be an example of a poetic depiction of nature.

The master’s works are in many museum collections and private collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Academy of Arts, the State Museum of Oriental Arts, the National Museum of the Republic of Bashkortostan and others.

You can get acquainted with the painting with a ticket to the permanent exhibition of the museum.

The exhibition will run until July 31, 2022.

The exhibition “Discovering funds” has started its work in the museum

April 29, 2022

April 27 in one of the halls of the permanent exhibition VOHM them. I.N. Kramskoy started the second series of exhibitions of graphic works “Discovering Funds. Graphics of the late 19th – early 20th century”, dedicated to the work of the students of the outstanding painter, artist-teacher Ilya Efimovich Repin.

The exhibition presents 9 works from the museum’s own collection, created by such authors as: E.A. Kiseleva, S.A. Beklemisheva-Filipchenko, F.V. Sychkov, F.A. Malyavin, N.F. Petrov, A.A. Egorov, A.M. Lyubimov and V.A. Serov.

Ilya Efimovich Repin tried to be not only a teacher of painting, but also an ideological mentor of his pupils, whom he perceived as “young friends”, younger comrades.

In his teaching activities, Repin sought to connect the school with life, to turn the creativity of students to socially significant topics. Therefore, the master focused his pupils on a realistic perception of nature, studying it in the interaction of form and color. An important point in Repin’s training of the young generation of artists was the method of demonstration sessions, simultaneous work with students.

Many of the great master’s students became teachers, they passed on the knowledge gained from their mentor to novice artists, teaching them art based on Repin’s principles of studying nature. Repin brought up a whole galaxy of artists who developed the realistic traditions of Russian art in their work.

Entrance to the exhibition is carried out with a ticket for the permanent exhibition of the museum.

The exhibition will run until May 29, 2022.
