Exhibition “Vivat, Russia!”. To the 350th anniversary of the birth of Peter I

In 2022, all of Russia celebrates the 350th anniversary of the birth of the Great Emperor of All Russia Peter I.

The history of his reform and creative activity is inextricably linked with Voronezh – the cradle of the Russian Navy, the birthplace of the St. Andrew’s flag!

The choice of Voronezh as the center of military shipbuilding for the second Azov campaign changed the fate of the city and its inhabitants for more than three hundred years. The city has always kept the memory of the great reformer, it was here in 1860 that one of the first monuments to Peter in Russia appeared, which also became the first monumental monument in Voronezh.

Since 2014, near the Admiralteyskaya embankment, an exact copy of the first battleship of the Russian Navy “Goto Predestination” has appeared, the construction of which was led by Pyotr Alekseevich himself.

April 21 at 16.00 in the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy will host the grand opening of the exhibition “Vivat, Russia!” Dedicated to a significant date.

The exhibition is organized with the support of the Department of Culture of the Voronezh Region, with the participation of the Russian Academy of Arts, the Voronezh Art College and the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy.

The opening of the exhibition will be the first event in the museum’s program of events dedicated to Peter the Great.

The exhibition will present about 100 works of painting, graphics, sculpture, arts and crafts. The authors of the presented works are members of the Russian Academy of Arts from Moscow, the Moscow Region, Voronezh, Tambov, Orel and Lipetsk.

More than 40 famous masters, including: Zurab Tsereteli, Anatoly Lyubavin, Andrey Dubov, Alexander Tsigal, Boris Belsky, Maria Pereyaslavets, Vladimir Pimenov, Viktor Rusanov, Alexei Sukhovetsky, Yuri Astapchenko, Sergey Gulevsky, Alexander Zolotykh, Alexander Lavrov, Dmitry Savinkov, Irina Tokareva, Olga Dmitrienko, Oleg Malyavkin, Viktor Mikityuk, Anatoly Kostyannikov, Givi Kolmakhelidze, Pavel Zolotov and many others.

The exhibition will run until June 13, 2022 (inclusive).

All-Russian competition of local historians working with youth

The All-Russian competition of local historians working with youth is held by the Russian Historical Society and the History of the Fatherland Foundation.

The competition is held in order to support the best teaching practices and popularize the history of the motherland among children and youth under 18 years of age.

School teachers, teachers of additional education, employees of cultural institutions, representatives of the non-profit sector are invited to participate in the competition.

Applications for the competition are accepted until July 1, 2022.

All-Russian song and poetry competition “And I live in Russia!”

The Organizing Committee of the festival “Greenlandia” amended the Regulations on holding the All-Russian Song and Poetry Competition “And I live in Russia!”, establishing an additional nomination for the contestants “Russia does not abandon its own!”.

In the nomination “Russia does not abandon its own!” Correspondence competition “Greenland” will accept songs and poems from authors, performers and groups dedicated to the spiritual and military feat of the peoples of our multinational country.

These can be works dedicated to soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War, internationalist soldiers, defenders of Donbass and all fighters against terrorism, fascism and nationalism.

The application deadline has been extended to April 30, 2022.

The theater, the dawn of which falls on the V century BC, originated from the mysteries of Eleusis – a city that was close to Athens culturally and geographically. Every century has used ancient plots in literature and drama in its own way. But what is the universality of the eternal plots in the comedies of Aristophanes, the tragedies of Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides?
At the meeting, the guests will learn about the nature of the ancient Greek theater, its attributes and the mystery component.

Lecture-conversation “Saints Peter and Fevronia are the patrons of the family” (6+)
A strong family is not only a solid foundation of the social structure, but also the guardian of the cultural, historical and spiritual heritage of Russia. One of the most outstanding historical examples of a successful marriage, revealed by compatriots in the past, is the union of Peter and Fevronia Muromsky, who lived in the city of Murom, Vladimir region, around the XII–XIII centuries. At the lecture, guests will learn about the history of the couple and what traits are associated with the ideal of matrimony. The guests will be told that Peter and Fevronia showed an example of piety, mutual love, loyalty, performing works of mercy and caring for their fellow citizens.
