Day of solidarity in the fight against terrorism is one of the memorable dates in Russia, which is celebrated annually on September 3.
The memorable date was established in 2005 by the federal law “On the days of Russia’s military glory”. It is directly related to the events in Beslan on September 1-3, 2004.
On the day of solidarity in the fight against terrorism, not only in Beslan, but throughout the country, they remember the victims of terrorist acts, as well as law enforcement officers who died while performing their official duties.

August 26, 2018 in the VOKHM them. I.N. Kramskoy held a master class on voskography under the leadership of Voronezh artist-graphic artist Denis Bulavintsev.
The master class was designed for children from 8 years old and their parents.
During the lesson participants got acquainted with the technique of voskrografiya, independently prepared the surface for the subsequent scratching of the picture and created their own artistic works.
Help: Voskografiya (or gattatazh) – a way to perform a picture by scratching with a pen or a sharp instrument of paper or cardboard, filled with ink or gouache.

The lesson will introduce a collection of ancient Egyptian art from the museum collection, give an idea of the life of the village of artisans Set-Maat in Thebes, about the craftsmen who created the tombs of the great kings. Particular attention will be paid to the honorary profession of the royal scribe.
A review of the museum collection includes a visit to the hall of ancient Egyptian art. In the creative workshop, participants will create a small work according to the canons of ancient Egyptian art.

August 17, 2018 on the new museum site in the House of the Governor (Prospect Revolution, 22) opened an exhibition of contemporary art “Policy of Acceptance.”
Seven artists from Voronezh, Moscow and St. Petersburg worked on the creation of works for this exhibition. The exposition includes works made in various techniques using a diverse material – installation, audio and video art, graphics and others.
The exposition tells the viewer about the artist’s thoughts about the society, about the interaction between the participants of social groups, about the bases on which they are built, and about the variability of the hierarchy or the horizontal of relations.
The exhibition will last until 9 August.
26 August 2018 in WOHM them. I. N. Kramskoi will host a master class on the art of resurrection under the leadership of Voronezh graphic artist Denis Bulavintseva.
During the lesson, participants will learn how to work in the technique of stencil, independently prepare the surface for the subsequent scratching of the drawing and create their works of art. The master class is designed for children from 8 years and their parents.
Time: 12.00-14.00 hours.

August 9, 2018 in the exhibition hall of WOHM them. I. N. Kramskoy held the opening ceremony of two exhibitions – ” a Friend from Donetsk. Ravil Akmaev ” and exhibition of paintings and graphic works of people’s artist of Luhansk people’s Republic Sergey Kondrashov.
Opening the official part, the acting Director of the Museum Marina Chernova thanked all those present and noted that these exhibitions are important for the Museum, providing a vivid example of the fact that art has no boundaries.
Chairman of the Voronezh branch of the Union of artists Alexey Smirnov stressed the importance of these exhibitions for the public, said: “art is invincible even in extreme situations.”
The author of the exhibited works Sergei Kondrashov told about the exhibition’s travels in Russia, expressed gratitude to the Museum’s management for the opportunity to exhibit their works.
The Director of the Donetsk regional art Museum the Hope Anischenko congratulated the artists with the opening and praised the art of the artists.
Poster artist, graphic artist, painter and sculptor Ravil Akmaev was happy to share his impressions about Voronezh and about the visit to the VOHM. I. N. Kramskoy, and thanked all those present for the congratulations.

1 and 9 of August in WOHM them. I. N. Kramskoi held lectures of the senior researcher of the Museum – Valery Shakin.
On August 1, the Museum held a lecture ” Venetian painting of the XVI century.” Valery told the audience about the features of the Venetian Renaissance, the role and heritage of the Venetian school of the XVI century in world art, as well as the work of such artists as Giorgione, Titian, Tintoretto and Veronese.
August 9 lecture, “Carlo Crivelli: Between Autumn of the middle Ages and the Rebirth in Spring”, students learned about the life and work of Carlo Crivelli – the special artist of the Italian art of the XV century, which was rejected by the countrymen during his life, but appreciated by Venice on merit only 500 years later.
August 3, 2018 on the third floor of the permanent exhibition of the Voronezh regional art Museum. I. N. Kramskoy was the Grand opening of the exhibition of the artist of Russian abroad, a talented lithographer, painter, researcher and teacher Varvara Bubnova “Palette of life”.
Opening the solemn part, the acting Director of the Museum Marina Chernova welcomed all those present, told about the life and work of the author of the works, noting that the exhibition is important for the Museum, because before the war in the Museum’s collection was the product of VD Bubnova “Urban landscape”, however, unfortunately, it was lost during the occupation of Voronezh and therefore the opening exhibition is of particular importance for the Museum.
Scientific Secretary of WOHM them. I. N. Kramskoy Natalia Bakina said: “The works of the author – it is a real and full-blooded art. Varvara Dmitrievna lived a very long life, and these years were filled with conscious, independent and bright creativity. She saw a lot, knew and experienced, but in these works there is no despair and despondency, there is no fatigue from life. They are full of energy and bright originality.” Natalia noted that Varvara Bubnova remains an interesting artist for the modern audience.
Voronezh artist and teacher Alexey Zagorodnykh thanked all those present for their attention to the exhibition, shared his impressions about the work of V. D. Bubnova, expressing admiration for the individuality of each of the presented works, and noted that the artist’s works tell more about her than biographical information.
The exhibition will run until September 9, 2018.

A person constantly communicates with other people, groups, communities. Since birth, it interacts with a narrow circle. As you get older, the number of acquaintances increases. A person goes to school, UNIVERSITY and work, meets new people there, getting used to being in groups, whether it is a company of friends or colleagues.
The essence of the exhibition of contemporary artists “policy of acceptance” consists of reflections on society, on the interaction between the participants of these groups, on the basis on which they are built, the variability of the hierarchy or horizontal relations.
For artists there were no restrictions in the choice of materials and techniques used in the work, so the exhibition will be diverse works of art prepared by the participants specifically for this exhibition.
7 artists from Voronezh, Moscow and St. Petersburg will present audio – and video-art, graphic works and much more.
The exhibition will be available until September 9, according to the following schedule:

Sergey Konstantinovich Zaryanko – Russian portrait painter of Belarusian origin.
The artist was born in Vitebsk region in the family of serf. When Sergei was very young the family moved to St. Petersburg, where his father worked for Prince A. N. Golitsyn.
The boy from childhood showed artistic abilities, and the first skills received from the painter V. M. Avrorin. The talent of the young artist was noticed by a famous Russian painter A. Venetsianov, who contributed in 1834 definition of Sergei Zaryanko at the Academy of arts students of the Imperial Academy of arts. Also studied at the Academy and his brothers – Basil, Joseph and Nicholas, but they all died at a fairly young age, which prevented to show their talents to the full.
Sergey Konstantinovich did not immediately turn to portrait painting. Prior to that, he portrayed different interiors, studying at the landscape class of M. N. Vorobiev. In 1836 he received a small silver medal, in 1838 he was awarded the title of class artist, after which he continued to write mostly promising species, and in 1841 he was awarded a large silver medal.
In 1843, the master received the title of academician and, living in Moscow, was engaged in the execution of images for churches, taught drawing at the Alexander orphan Institute and “perspective art” in the Palace architectural school.
On his return to St. Petersburg, in 1855, Sergei Konstantinovich for the first time seriously took up portrait painting. At the academic exhibition in 1849 were exhibited two portraits, which brought him great fame. In 1850, for the work of the Academy awarded the artist the title of Professor.
Zaryanko contributed to the development of young artists, some of which have reached honorable prominence, for example: V. G. Perov, I. M. Pryanishnikov, V. Pukirev, V. I. Sherwood, L. F., Jodaiko, brothers, V. E. and K. E. Makovsky, G. I. Bortnevskiy.
Released from under his brush portraits are remarkable for unusually strong modeling, excellent transmission of lighting, careful development of details, even in accessories and accurate reproduction of persons.the Master wrote about a hundred portraits in his life, which depicted the great and famous people – emperors, princes, princesses and counts.
The artist died on January 1 in Moscow.
