Opening of the exhibition of works by Academicians of the Russian Academy of Arts “Space of Time”

November 29, 2018 in the exhibition hall VOKM them. I.N. Kramskoy opened an exhibition of works of artists, academicians of the Russian Academy of Arts Tatiana Nazarenko and Igor Novikov.

The opening ceremony of the “Space of Time” exhibition was preceded by a press conference with the authors of the presented works, during which the artists spoke about their work, shared their impressions of their stay in Voronezh and answered questions from those present.

Opening the exhibition, the director of the VOKHM them. I.N. Olga Kramskoy Olga Ryabchikova noted that the exhibition was very much anticipated, they went to it for several years and that it was a great honor to see wonderful artists and present their works in the Voronezh Art Museum. A congratulatory address from the Russian Academy of Arts signed by the President of the Russian Academy of Arts, Zurab Tsereteli and the Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts, Tahir Salakhov, was read to the artists.

Head of the Department of Professional Art and Art Education of the Department of Culture of the Voronezh Region, Alena Sergeeva, said that in recent years, the cooperation of the Voronezh cultural institutions with the Russian Academy of Arts has been greatly developed, and this certainly causes particular pride. Thanks to this cooperation, Voronezh citizens and guests of the city have the opportunity to see the works of artists whose works are the adornment of many private collections, museums in Russia and abroad. Alena Viktorovna also noted that, despite the philosophical theme, the exhibition turned out to be very clear and close, because its central theme is a person who is looking for and being reflected in time and space.

Bronislav Tabachnikov – historian, art historian, art critic, called Tatiana Nazarenko a man of powerful innovative potential, who offered a new perspective on life, art and painting, noting that the most captivating feature of the artist’s work is the amazing historicism of consciousness. The author immerses a person of our time into history, making him a contemporary of historical knowledge and a friend of historical characters.

Many warm and kind words addressed to eminent artists were said by Honored Artist of Russia, Professor of the Voronezh State Institute of Arts Vladimir Shpakovsky, Chairman of the Voronezh Branch of the Union of Artists Alexei Smirnov, Chairman of the Board of the Lipetsk Branch of the Union of Artists Sergey Tolcheev.

The author of the works, Tatyana Nazarenko, herself admitted that for many years Voronezh has been a place of attraction for her, because she has a long interesting life connected to the city, her friends live in it. Special thanks to Tatiana Grigorievna was addressed to the Voronezh Museum for the extraordinary spiritual welcome provided by its management and staff.
“The exhibition in the Voronezh Museum is a great happiness,” the artist noted.

The artist Igor Novikov, in turn, also expressed his gratitude for the honor and the opportunity to show his works to the Voronezh viewer.

The opened exhibition, representing more than 50 works by Tatyana Nazarenko (paintings, installations) and 15 works by Igor Novikov, will continue its work until January 20, 2019.

Virtual exhibition “The Chronicle of the Life and Works of Elena Kiseleva” (6+)

Master class on making clay aroma lamps

November 26, 2018

Last Sunday, November 25, in the VOKHM them. I.N. Kramskoy held a master class on the creation of oil burners under the guidance of a ceramist Arkady Chudakov.

The participants of the lesson – children from 7 years old and their parents, created their products from clay, decorating them with various ornaments.
All products will be roasted in a special oven in the workshop of Arkady Chudakov, after which participants will be able to take them home.

The exhibition “Painting S. L. Gollerbach. To the 95th anniversary ”(6+)

December 6, 2018 at 18.00 hours in the exhibition hall of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramsky will host the opening of the exhibition “The Painting of S. L. Gollerbach. To the 95th anniversary.

The exhibition will present 45 paintings and graphic works of the artist from the collections of the House of Russian Abroad named after Alexander Solzhenitsyn, VOHM them. I.N. Kramskoy and the personal collection of director Helena Rodina (Al Ersburn).

Sergey Lvovich Gollerbakh is one of the brightest contemporary artists of the Russian diaspora of the second wave of emigration, whose works depicted “smells and gestures of life”, grotesque images of everyday life, seen with an attentive, regretful look. He is a full member of the National Academy of Design, a professor of painting, an honorary president of the American Society of Watercolorists, a member of the National Union of Writers and the Institute of Contemporary Russian Culture. The author of six books in Russian, three – in English and several art albums. Awarded the gold medal of the American Society of watercolorists, as well as other professional awards.

Reflections of the artist on art have been repeatedly published in the journal “New Russian Word” (New York), in the Paris newspaper “Russian Thought”, as well as in the poetic almanacs “Crossroads” and “Meetings” (Philadelphia).

Drawings and paintings by S. Gollerbach are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, in the State Russian Museum, in the collection of the House of Russian Abroad and in the museums of Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod and Vladivostok.

In the US, the works of Sergei Gollerbach are in museums: Norfolk / Virginia /, Tulsa / Oklohoma /, St. Paul / Minnesota /, in university collections: Yale and Amherst / Massachusetts /, Dickenson and Rutgers / New Jersey /, as well as in private collections in the USA and in France.

Reference: Gollerbakh Sergey Lvovich – artist, writer, poet, born on November 1, 1923 in the town of Detskoye Selo / last Tsarskoye Selo, and after 1937 – Pushkin /. From 1935 to 1937 he lived in Voronezh, in exile with his parents. In 1941, he was a pupil of the 9th grade of a secondary art school in Leningrad. At the beginning of the war he was sent to trench work, fell into the German occupation, was taken to work in Germany. From 1946-1949 – student of the Munich Academy of Arts. In the US since 1949. Since 1950, Sergei Gollerbach lives in New York.

Master class “Plasticine puppet”

November 18 in VOKHM them. I.N. Kramskoy held a master class on animation from the series “Himself a multiplier.”

The master class “Plasticine puppet” under the guidance of the teachers of the studio “Telescope” Olesya Skorobogatova and Konstantin Kolgushkin introduced the principles of creating a cartoon from plasticine.

The participants invented stories about their heroes, learned to visualize them in a graphic script format (storyboard) and “animate” with the help of special shooting equipment.

November 15, as part of an educational program implemented during the period of the exhibition “People and Things. On the 100th anniversary of the Voronezh State University, the final lecture “On the history of the formation of the art collection of the Museum of Fine Arts of the Voronezh State University” took place in the museum.

The lecturer was the candidate of art history, associate professor of the department of humanities and arts of the Voronezh State University, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia – Marina Alexandrovna Krivtsova.

In total, six lectures and two concerts were held within the program.

The exposition includes all twenty-nine works of Ivan Kramskoy from the funds of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum, and five works from the funds of the Ostrogorsky Historical and Art Museum. I.N. The exhibition will feature more than 50 works by Tatiana Nazarenko (paintings, installations) and 15 paintings by Igor Novikov.

Tatyana Nazarenko – Soviet and Russian painter, teacher, professor. Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts. People’s Artist of the Russian Federation. Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation. Member of the USSR Union of Artists.

The artist’s work is about people. All her paintings are simply filled with people who are in a hurry, meditate, bathe, celebrate, dance, talk – they do everything that is typical of ordinary people. All of them are different and belong to different social worlds, but their images are humanly similar, vulnerable and recognizable.

Igor Alekseevich Novikov – Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, the son of the artist, a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, an honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts Novikov Alexei Ivanovich.

Igor Novikov belongs to the generation of Moscow non-conformist artists, whose creative development was in the era of the collapse of the Soviet Union. Member of the USSR Union of Artists since 1987. Works in the field of oil painting (portrait, still life, landscape, thematic picture).

In his paintings, the artist uses a variety of styles and techniques of painting to display the temporary space in which he lives. He observes the world in which he is, perceives all his changes and displays them with the help of his own invention, pictograms which he skillfully fits into his canvases.

Master class on creating colored linocut

November 11 in VOKHM them. I.N. Kramskoy held a master class in the creation of colored linocut (under the guidance of artist Denis Bulavintsev).

The master class was intended both for beginning artists from 10 years and their parents, and for those interested in drawing and practicing artists.

At the lesson, the master told and showed how a color product is created using linocut technique, after which all participants were able to create their images using two colors and print them on a special machine.
