Exhibition “Kotlovan” (12+)

May 22, 2018

On June 7 at 15.00 in the House of the Governor (Revolyutsiya Ave., 22) within the framework of the VIII International Platonov Festival of Arts the solemn opening of the exhibition “Pit” will be held.

At the exhibition, based on the landmark works of Andrei Platonov, the painting, objects and installations of the Moscow artist Mikhail Roshnyak are presented.

All the work of Platonov is impregnated with the theme of searching for the meaning of life, a comprehensive truth and, of course, the theme of death and its overcoming. So Mikhail Roshnyak, using an unusual material for creativity, categorically disagreeing with the principles of artistic academism, is trying to approach the discovery of truth and understanding the most complex meanings of human life. The author’s paintings made of earth symbolize and reveal the mystery of the existence of a man who, all his life, digs a pit in the hope of achieving the notorious happiness, not noticing how life passes him and the pit from the place of building a happy life turns into the grave of unrealized dreams and false views.

Mikhail Roshnyak is one of the most active and famous contemporary Russian artists. Participant of more than a hundred group exhibitions and 15 personal exhibitions. Author and participant of more than 100 performances and actions.

In 1992 he founded the art group Miros-Yggs in Leipzig. In 1993 he published in Moscow ALL-MANACH – a magazine devoted to the problems of alternative art. Katkovoy, A. Aygi , E. Kasimov, the group TANATOS (Spirit and Soil 1,2, Crusade, Archeology of Consciousness, STOP NATO and others). Since 1996, participant of international art fairs in Strasbourg and Geneva. Since 1997, the organizer and curator of club performances together with S. Kuzin, V. Skvortsov, A. Shilov, A. “Voronezh Front” in the Voronezh Regional Youth Library.

May 4, 2018

March 1, 2018 in the Voronezh Regional Youth Library. V.M. Exhibition “Voronezh Front” opened in Kubanev

The exhibition presents copies of works by front-line artists Vladimir Bogatkin and Vitaly Demidov in 1942-1943 in Voronezh (from the funds of the VGKM named after I. Kramskoy).

During the Great Patriotic War Voronezh became the arena of fierce fighting. To capture Voronezh, the fascist command in the summer of 1942 concentrated about 20 divisions. The fighting for Voronezh lasted 212 days and nights. The fascists were not able to capture Voronezh completely. Heroic actions of the Soviet troops on the outskirts and within the boundaries of Voronezh the enemy was stopped, bleached and defeated.

While our soldiers fought, the artists took up their weapons – brushes, pencils, paints. They considered it their duty to capture what happened then and went to the front, went out with notebooks and easels to the streets of the occupied cities, painted destroyed houses, rickety pillars, destroyed churches and monuments … Thus, in Voronezh, Moscow artists Vladimir Bogatkin and Vitaly Demidov . Graphics language artists talked about the destroyed streets and squares, destroyed buildings and monuments of history. Works of these artists from the collection of VOKHM them. I.N. Kramskoye are unique historical evidence of the true tragedy of the city of Voronezh during the Great Patriotic War.

The exposition will work in the Voronezh Regional Youth Library. V.M. Kubanev until April 26, 2018.

The exhibition of military posters opened in the museum

May 3, 2018

April 26, 2018 in the exhibition hall of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. The exhibition “Military posters of 1941-1945-ies from the funds of the Tambov regional museum of local lore” was opened.

At the exhibition there are more than twenty posters made by such authors as: F.B. Antonov, V.B. Koretsky, N.N. Zhukov, A.P. Bubnov, V.I. Ivanov, A.A. Kokorekin, V.N. Denis and others. All the posters were collected by the staff of the Tambov Regional Museum of Local History during the Great Patriotic War.

Painters-placatists responsibly and operatively responded to the events in the country and the course of military operations conducted by the Soviet Army in a vast area from the Barents Sea to the Black Sea. In their posters, they deliberately chose actions that truthfully reflected the reality of the front life and at the same time metaphorically revealed the idea of the poster.

The exhibition provides an opportunity to trace the entire chronology of the creation of posters from the Great Patriotic War from early models, imbued with the irresistible desire of Soviet soldiers of the army and navy to defeat the enemy, to the posters of the last years of the war, the main theme of which was Victory.

The exhibition will be a wonderful gift to Voronezh residents and guests of the city on the Day of the Great Victory.

The entrance fee for all categories of citizens is 50 rubles.
Photography – free of charge
Amateur video shooting (1 hour) – 300 rubles

The exhibition will last until May 27, 2018.
