On May, 18th in the International Day of museums in VOHM them. I.N. Kramskoy held an event in the course of which the museum received a gift of an etching machine. Donors were Voronezh residents from among friends and admirers of the museum.
This gift is not accidental. In Voronezh, the rich traditions of graphic arts, among Voronezh artists are many recognized masters of this art (EA Poshivalov, MF Akhunov, VA Presnyakov). And nowadays traditions are not interrupted. In the museum, a series of master classes for children and adults is developed and conducted. During the school year, from September 2017 to May 2018, 16 master classes on the schedule were attended by more than 500 people. The host of the classes was Voronezh artist-graphic artist Denis Bulavintsev.
The acquisition of the machine will help not only to expand the theme and audience of museum classes and master classes, but also contribute to popularizing the art of graphics among a wide audience.
The museum plans for the new academic year – the implementation of a new interesting program of master classes on the schedule, in addition, further it is planned to develop an independent direction in the educational activities of the museum, it is possible to create a “School of Graphics”, which involves a variety of creative, lecture and exhibition programs.
At the event, the project participants were told a lot of interesting things about graphic art, and the work of the machine in action was demonstrated. At the end of the meeting, all the donors as a token of gratitude were awarded the prints of the artist Denis Bulavintsev.
The project serves as a good example of participation and interest in the museum, support of its activities and the desire to participate in museum life.
