Museum collection of ancient Egyptian art – one of the first private Egyptian collections of the XIX century. It was assembled by the young traveler and explorer-orientalist Baron Otto von Richter (1791-1816) during his trip to Egypt in 1815.

To your attention animation films created by Voronezh artists-animators Sergei Bolgov and Elena Volkova in 2015, as part of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the ancient Egyptian collection of Otto von Richter.

The performance of Alla Reshetnikova took place

Artist Alla Reshetnikova before the eyes of the public created two works in the style of lyrical impressionism in a specially designated art space. These works complemented the exposition and reproduced the main trends of the world of abstract painting.

A similar format of the event was demonstrated in the museum for the first time.

As part of the exhibition, Alla Reshetnikova plans to hold two more performances – February 3 and February 24.

Opening of the exhibition “Grammar of Abstraction”

Opening the exhibition, the museum’s deputy director Marina Chernova noted that it is especially pleasant to receive the exhibition of a talented artist who is our countrywoman.

Honored worker of Russian culture, director of the Voronezh art school Sergey Gulevsky congratulated all those present with the opening of the exhibition, stressing that the opening is symbolic, since the exhibition of Alla Reshetnikova follows immediately after the exhibition of Oleg Mikhailovich Savostyuk, who was the teacher of the artist. The exposition presented by Alla Reshetnikova can be called an “exhibition-mood”, with a beautiful atmosphere, positive, sincere sense of proportion and taste.

The head of the exposition department of the museum Olga Ryabchikova said that the exhibition of Alla Reshetnikova had been waiting in Voronezh for a long time, and today the exhibition is finally presented in the art museum. This exhibition project will not only acquaint the Voronezh residents with the beautiful, bright abstract works of the artist, but also present a unique opportunity to witness the creation of works that will be created right before the eyes of the public during the artist’s performances. Such a format of events in the exhibition space will be demonstrated for the first time, and Voronezh, in fact, will start the art tour of the cities of Russia, the first of which (after Voronezh) will be St. Petersburg.

The artist herself in her speech thanked the Voronezh art museum in the person of its staff for the reception provided, which made it possible not only to acquaint the Voronezh viewer with the world of abstraction, but also to provide an opportunity to try himself as a public artist on-line, which would be the first such experience for the artist.

Before the opening of the exhibition, the author of the works held a press conference in which she told the audience a lot of interesting things about her work, cooperation and friendship with famous people from the world of culture and art, creative plans and ideas.

The exhibition will last until February 25, 2018.

Exhibition «From Novokhopersk to Breslau» (0+)

January 19, 2018 on the third floor of the main building of the Art Museum. I.N. The exhibition “From Novokhopersk to Breslau will begin its work. Front Figures Seeds of Legeni from the collection of the VOKHM. I.N. Kramskoy “, timed to the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad and the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Voronezh from the Nazi invaders.

The exposition will feature about 40 graphic works by the artist, created during the Great Patriotic War from 1942 to 1945, as an employee of the front-line multiparty “Combat Alert”.

Semen Danilovich Legien (1905-1994) – Voronezh painter, graphic artist, member of the Union of Artists, participant in the Great Patriotic War. Born in Buturlinovka in 1905, he studied at the Voronezh Art and Industrial College in AA. Butchkuri and SM. Romanovich. He worked as an artist-decorator in the Voronezh Drama Theater, an artist of the OGPU club and an artist of the regional association “Artist”.

Semyon Danilovich passed the roads of the war from Novokhopersk to Breslau as part of the junction of the 6th Army of the Voronezh, South-Western and 1st Ukrainian fronts, making sketches of military events, battles, brother-soldiers. Drawings depict touching human scenes: the front life of a soldier, the faces of civilians, scenes of peaceful life of the liberated cities of Europe and Berlin.

In the frontline conditions Semyon Legen managed to save more than a hundred of his own watercolors, pastels, drawings in pencil. After the death of the artist (1994), most of the work was transferred in 2009 by his daughter Galina Semenovna Legen as a gift to the Voronezh Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy.

Opening of the project «History of the Present»

January 17, 2018 at the new site of the museum in the House of the Governor opened an exhibition project “History of the Present”, implemented in conjunction with the Voronezh Center for Contemporary Art (VCSI) in the framework of a grant from the Government of the Voronezh Region to create creatively meaningful projects in the field of culture and art.

The solemn part of the opening, the deputy director of the museum, Marina Chernova, began by thanking the government of the Voronezh region, thanks to the support of which the project received a life. Those present also learned about the history of the mansion and its significance in Voronezh life.

Alena Sergeeva, head of the department of professional art and art education of the Department of Culture of the Voronezh Region, noted in her speech that this is a unique project and expressed the hope that the exhibition will become a kind of bridge between history and modernity, and also wished everyone creativity and inspiration.

The museum’s scientific secretary Natalya Bakina, who is the museum curator of the project, noted the sympathy and enthusiasm of young artists who mastered and revitalized the museum’s new space and shared plans for the creation and placement of an exposition devoted to the artistic life of Voronezh from the early 19th century to the present.

In his speech, curators of the exhibition from the Center for Contemporary Art in the person of Tatyana Danilevskaya and Nikolay Alekseev also expressed their gratitude to all project participants who provided their works and told about the events of the public program that will be held in parallel with the exhibition at both sites of the museum.

At the conclusion of the opening, the famous Voronezh artist Sergey Gorshkov congratulated everyone on the good start of the new life of the building and stressed that the cooperation of young artists and the classical museum is very important for the artistic and cultural life of the city

Alla Reshetnikova’s exhibition «ABSTRACTION GRAMMAR» (12+)

At the end of the press conference at 6.00 pm in the exhibition hall of the museum – the solemn opening of the personal exhibition of the artist’s works “Grammar of Abstraction.”

Alla Reshetnikova is a postmodern artist, combining in her work many styles and a variety of abstract currents.

The exhibition is a kind of performance on impulsive recreation from memory and without prompting in front of the public the diversity of the world of abstract forms and techniques. The main exhibit of the exhibition, according to the artist herself, is a picturesque improvisation, as an action, and the works themselves are the result, a trace, an accessory of creative work, a souvenir-memory that has value for collectors.

The exposition will present more than 100 works created in the period from 2008 to 2017.

Within the framework of the exhibition, Alla Reshetnikova will hold PERFORMANCE online:
Dates of PERFORMANCE: January 20, February 3, February 24.
Time: from 15.00 to 17.00 hours.

February 24 (immediately after the final performance) at 17.00 in the exhibition hall of the museum will be a round table with the author of the work.

Alla Vladimirovna Reshetnikova graduated in 1997 from the Moscow State Academic Art Institute. IN AND. Surikov (workshop of OM Savostyuk). Member of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, a member of the Moscow Union of Artists.

She has been engaged in abstract painting since 2005. Collaborated with the galleries of Moscow, Europe, America and China.

The author’s works are in the largest private collection of the Russian abstract painting of the post-war period “Tsukanov Famili Foundation”, in the fund of the museum “MAMM” by Olga Sviblova, the Alexander Glezer collection, the Pushkin State Museum (Moscow), the Pushkinsky Gory Museum Mikhailovsky, in the collection of the investment company Veles Capital, as well as in private collections of Mikhail Baryshnikov, Alla Pugacheva, Irina Khakamada.

The exhibition will last until February 25, 2018.

Exhibition of tactile exhibits “Touching Story” (0+)

The exhibition of tactile exhibits began working in the new interactive museum area.

Despite the fact that the exhibits were created for visitors with visual impairment, everyone can get acquainted with them.

To your attention are 11 tactile models of exhibits presented in the main exposition of the museum (7 tactile paintings of Russian and Western European artists and 4 items of the collection of ancient Egyptian art).

The exhibition is available for visits every Thursday from 17.00 to 20.00 hours.

The cost of visiting for all categories of citizens is 50 rubles.

Photo and video are free.

The exhibition will operate on an ongoing basis.

Exhibition project «History of the Present» (0+)

“History of the Present” – a joint project of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum named after. I.N. Kramsk and Voronezh Center for Contemporary Art on the new site of the museum in the Governor’s House, which includes exhibition and lecture programs.

The project was implemented as part of a grant from the Voronezh Region government to create creatively significant projects in the field of culture and art.

The exhibition will feature works by Russian and foreign artists (France, Sweden, Finland, Germany) including the members of the creative group Rodina, Nuno Vicente, Denis Patrakeev, Elizaveta Konovalova, Malin Pettersson Eberg, Olga Zhitlina and others.

The governor’s house was at the epicenter of historical events and was their witness. The history of the mansion in the style of Empire, located at the intersection of Revolution and Pr. Tchaikovsky, fully reproduces the course of the history of a large country. Modern artists have tried to reflect in their works a multifaceted vision of history and historical events of different scale.

Curators of the project: Tatiana Danilevskaya, Nikolay Alekseev, Irina Aksenova.

The exhibition will be open for visiting during the month from January 18 to February 18. Visiting will be carried out only within the framework of excursions on the specified schedule:

Thursday: 18.00 pm.
