On June 11, at 15.00, the I.N. Kramskoy VOHM invites you to the lecture “Peter’s Ships. The history of the military fleet on the Voronezh land” (12+).

The lecture takes place within the framework of the exhibition “Vivat, Russia!” dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the birth of Peter I.

At the lecture, we will talk about the history of the Voronezh Region, about the origins of shipbuilding art on the banks of the Voronezh and Don rivers, as well as about the heights and scales that this activity reached in the wake of Peter the Great’s reforms and transformations.

Listeners will get acquainted with the main types of warships of the beginning of the XVIII century, their structure, purpose, features of service and life of sailors. And, of course, we will not ignore the first battleship of the Russian fleet – our famous “Goto Predestination”, now again proudly carrying Russian flags over the waves of the Voronezh Sea.

Lecturer – senior researcher of the museum Evgeny Sychev.

Duration – 60 minutes
The ticket price is 150 rubles.
