Based on the results of past master classes on the schedule

From September 2017 to May 2018, the museum conducted master classes on the schedule from the series “Spot and line. Graphic techniques and techniques. ” One of the authors of the series and the leading master classes – Voronezh artist-graphic artist Denis Bulavintsev.

Master classes were held for different audiences: family (children from 10 years and their parents) and so-called. professionals and amateurs (from 16 years old). A total of 16 classes (8 for each audience) were attended by more than 500 people.

During the entire period, the participants of the MK learned the methods of working with graphics and embodied the acquired knowledge in their works.

The participants, led by Olesya Skorobogatova, teacher of the “Telescope” screen creativity studio, built an original urban space in collage technology and revived interesting stories in this city.

 

Meeting with Milan Furman

On May 24 at 6:00 pm a meeting with a specialist in the field of international volunteer camps – Milan Furman was held at the museum.

At the meeting they talked about volunteering in the field of art in Russia and abroad, answered questions: how to become a part of events in the field of art as a volunteer, what projects are waiting for volunteers this summer, and where and how in Russia or abroad you can find a project for the soul .

A special place was given to a story about a volunteer camp in the art laboratory of Vyacheslav Polunin “The Yellow Mill” (France).

Information about volunteer programs was prepared by the Center for International Cooperation “Passage Zebra”.

Rombouts, Theodore

Theodore Rombouts-Dutch painter, famous paintings in the style of Caravaggio. The future artist was born July 2, 1597 in Antwerp.

Theodore studied painting with Frans van Lankveld and then with Abraham Jansens the Elder. These masters helped the young artist to reveal your extraordinary talent for painting. The master traveled a lot. In 1617 he went to Rome, where he painted several historical paintings, and then moved to Florence.

In 1625, the painter returned to Flanders, 2 years later he was accepted by the master in the Antwerp Guild of St. Luke, in which he was a petty officer until 1630.

As a contemporary of Rubens, Rombouts did not come under his influence, but rather imitated Michelangelo da Caravaggio.

The works of Theodore Rombouts are always well-arranged, differ in fidelity of drawing, carefully executed, and the special originality of his painting gives sharpness of color. The master painted historical and allegorical paintings, genre scenes, as well as imitating Italian masters, portrayed singers, card players and charlatans.

The artist died in 1637 at home in Antwerp.

Kiselev Alexander Alexandrovich

Without finishing the course in the St. Petersburg cadet corps, he entered the University of St. Petersburg in 1858. After the closure of the University of St. Petersburg began to attend classes of the Imperial Academy of arts, as volnoprihodyaschego student (studied with S. M. Vorobyov).

Having received from the Academy a large silver medal and the title of class artist of article III, joined the Association “Wanderers”, in exhibitions which since then and participated almost annually. He worked in Moscow, very often making trips to different places in Russia to create studies for his paintings, perfectly convey nature in different seasons and hours of the day, with a different state of the atmosphere. Later he wrote kinds Caucasus, which had great and Merited success.

In 1906 he became one of the founders of the Northern circle of lovers of fine arts in Vologda. Thanks to the authority of A. A. Kiselev, the members of the circle managed to establish ties in St. Petersburg and to attract artists of the Academy of arts to participate in their exhibitions.

In 1902 Kiselev, built a house in Tuapse. Struck by the beauty of the local scenery, he wrote for several years only the neighborhood.

Alexander Kiselev worked fruitfully until the end of his life, creating his beautiful landscapes. His works are kept in many large museums of the country, and the house-Museum of the artist is organized in Tuapse.

The artist died on January 20, 1911 in St. Petersburg.

Bruni, Fedor Antonovich

Fedor Bruni is a Russian artist of Italian origin. A bright representative of the academic school of painting.

Fedor Bruni (real name Fidelio) was born on June 10, 1799 in Milan, in the family of a Swiss Italian artist and restorer Antonio Bruni, who in 1807, came to Russia from Italy.

Following the example of his father, Fedor decided to become an artist and at the age of ten years he entered the Educational school at the Academy of arts. He was a very capable student, was soon awarded a silver medal and was awarded the title of artist. After training, the father sent his son to Italy. The study of exemplary works of ancient artists finally determined the direction of the young Fidelio, renamed in Russia to Theodore.

The first serious picture Fedor Bruni wrote at the age of 22 years. The painting “the Death of Camille, Horace’s sister” was exhibited in the Capitol and brought Fedor first fame. In Russia for the same picture he was awarded the title of academician. No less famous paintings of the painter are: “the Agony in the garden,” “the brazen serpent”, “the awakening of the graces”, “Bacchante, paasa Cupid”, “the Sleeping nymph” and many others.

Also, Bruni became known for the painting of St. Isaac’s Cathedral in St. Petersburg. Being appointed in 1849 the curator of the Hermitage art gallery, he lovingly engaged in it; twice he was sent abroad to buy paintings that served to replenish the Museum’s collection. Since 1855, ODA was the rector of the Academy of arts in the Department of painting and sculpture. By the end of his life he was an honorary member of the Bologna and Milan Academy of arts, Professor Emeritus of The Florentine Academy of arts and the Academy of St. Luke in Rome.

At present, the burial of Fyodor Antonovich Bruni is located at the Tikhvin cemetery of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra.
