September 1, 2022

On September 1, 2022, the museum hosted the annual presentation of diplomas and memorable gifts to students of art faculties of universities “For loyalty to the traditions of realistic art”.

The awarding ceremony was attended by the Academic Secretary of the Council of Rectors, Associate Professor Vladimir Semenovich Listengarten, Acting Director of the Museum Yulia Nikolaevna Zaichenko, Director of the Voronezh Art School Sergey Petrovich Gulevsky and head of the Center for Spiritual Revival of the Chernozem Region Grigory Fedorovich Fedorov.

This year, the Center for Spiritual Revival of the Chernozem Region joined the project. During the 9 years of the contest’s existence, the geography of participants has significantly expanded. Opening of Andrey Dubov’s exhibition “The World of Simple Things”

September 8, 2022

The exhibition will present the audience with 31 works by the master: landscapes, scenes in the interior, still lifes, which reveal the variety of pictorial motifs and the personal world of the author.

The exhibition opened in a very warm atmosphere – the museum brought together artists from Voronezh and the region, who have been working with Andrei Igorevich in the open air for many years.

The opening ceremony was attended by acting. director of the museum Yulia Zaichenko, director of the Voronezh Art College Sergey Gulevsky and, of course, the author of the works himself – corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, professor – Andrey Dubov.

In her opening speech, Yulia Zaichenko noted that the people of Voronezh had already seen the work of Andrey Dubov this year – the Arbat painting was presented at the VIVAT, Russia insert in the spring.

Andrey Igorevich Dubov shared that for a very long time he wanted to triple his personal exhibition in our city, because for many years he has been coming to plein air in Voronezh and has a warm attitude towards our region. The exhibition “The World of Simple Things”, according to the author, is the most successful “squeeze” of his work. The artist noted the very good location of the exposition (we remind you that the exhibition is presented on the third floor of the main building of the museum, next to the sections of Western European art). Andrey Igorevich always wanted to “hang” next to the old masters, because he feels an inner spiritual connection with the artists of the 17th century.

Sergei Petrovich Gulevsky said that the work of Andrey Dubov has always stood out among other artists with its inner component and color solutions. The director of the art school noted the successful arrangement of the paintings at the exhibition. “First, you mark the most memorable works, and then you realize that it’s all interesting!”.

The museum was not left without gifts: in addition to wonderful catalogs, Andrey Dubov donated to the museum the work “Still Life in the Interior” (1990).

The exhibition will run until October 9, 2022
