As part of the exhibition of the author’s doll “Puppet Confession” we offer you a program of thematic lectures and master classes.
March 14 at 14.00. Lecture-conversation “The Story of Teddy Bears” (10+)
Speaker – teddist artist, member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, Department of Decorative and Applied Arts Ivan the Terrible.
The lecture will tell about the history of the Teddy bears, their varieties and exhibitions dedicated to this toy. What were the bears at the beginning of their creation, and what they are created today, as well as about the bear as a collectible.
After the lecture, the master will answer all your questions on the topic.
Due to the limited number of seats, tickets for the event are only sold online.

March 21 at 13.00. Master class “Bear-Broshka” (10+)
At the master class, you will create a vintage-style brooch (in the shape of a bear’s head) with your own hands, which will be a wonderful decoration for your look at any time of the year. ⠀
No special skills required. Materials are provided. Limited number of seats.
The master class is conducted by Ivan the Terrible, a teddist artist, a member of the TSHR department of the DPI.

April 4 at 14.00. Lecture “Author’s dolls” (10+)
Nikolay Pavlov, a member of the TSHR department of the DPI, regional director of the International Organization of Puppet Authors (MOAK) for the Chernozem Region, will tell about the young form of art for designer dolls. ⠀
What dolls accompany a person from birth, what are Pandora dolls, and how did the China-dollar porcelain doll get its name? You will learn about this and much more by attending the lecture. ⠀

April 11 at 14.00. Master show “Sculpting the head of a doll” (10+) ⠀
At the master show, in real time, you can see the stages of creating a doll’s head from baked plastic. You will learn about the types of plastics, the peculiarities of working with baking, get acquainted with the technology of manufacturing and processing. The wizard will also tell you which tools are most convenient for work and reveal secrets that make it easier to create a doll.
The master show is conducted by the artist on designer dolls, member of the TSHR department of the DPI, regional director of the International Association of Puppet Authors (MOAK) for the Chernozem region Nikolai Pavlov. ⠀
Video filming of the lesson is prohibited.

March 4 at the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy opened the exhibition “On the shores of the Voronezh Sea”. The first guests of the exhibition were the authors of the presented works – Alexander Lavrov, Igor Petropavlovsky, Mikhail Viktorov, Yuri Astapchenko, as well as Sergey Gorshkov, who acts as a participant and curator of the exhibition project.
As part of the opening, many warm and kind words were said to the participants of the exhibition, warmly and anxiously remembered the departed authors, whose works were provided by their relatives and friends. The artists shared their memories of the life and work of the period from the late 1980s to the 1990s, since the exposition is dedicated to this time. It was noted that in addition to its artistic value, the exhibition reflects the history of a bygone era.
In total, the exhibition features over 100 works of art made by 9 Voronezh authors. The exposition is complemented by works from the collection of VOKhM named after V. I.N. Kramskoy, as well as documentary photographs and videos of those years, provided by artists and their heirs.
The exhibition will run until April 11, 2021.
The virtual exhibition “Where there is wideness, where there is freedom – I want to go there” is dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the birth of Nikolai Nikolayevich Ge, one of the most paradoxical and daring artists of Russian art of the 19th century.
A rebel, seer and visionary, Ge has always followed his own path of art.
The presentation covers a wide range of paintings and graphic works of the master, as well as the main stages of the creative path of Nikolai Ge.
