Vernissage of the Ladies Handbag exhibition

October 11, 2018 on the third floor of the main building VOHM them. I.N. Kramsky hosted the opening day of the Ladies’ Handbag exhibition.

In the welcome speech. Director Vokhm them. I.N. Kramskoy Olga Ryabchikova told that cooperation with the Yaroslavl Art Museum began in 2014, when an exhibition of masterpieces of the Yaroslavl icon painting school of the XVII – XIX centuries was presented in the art museum. The partnership continued in 2015, then the exhibition “Behind the Red Line” arrived in Voronezh, presenting the works of artists from the pre-revolutionary period. And, finally, today, another museum from the collection of the YACHM is opened in the museum, dedicated to one of the main accessories of a woman – a handbag.

Olga Alexandrovna also told that the exhibitions from the Yaroslavl Art Museum are notable for their thoroughness, style and professionalism. The Ladies’ Handbag exhibition is not just a series of exhibits, but a whole story of a woman, an era, styles, forms, materials. There is no doubt that this exhibition, like the previous ones, will cause great interest among art lovers.

The chief curator of the Voronezh Regional Museum of Local History, Svetlana Tolkacheva, compared a handbag to a canvas on which each master reproduces anything: scenes, patterns, landscapes, ornaments, etc., thus making each bag a masterpiece that can tell a lot about the owner interesting.

The curator of the exhibition, deputy director of the Yaroslavl Art Museum, Alexey Fedorchuk told the audience about how the collection of handbags of the Yaroslavl Museum was collected. As an art museum, first of all, the value was represented by handbags of artwork, or handbags, reflecting this or that style, or the development of manufactory production. Alexey Viktorovich noted that the exposition presented a pictorial image of a woman as a lyrical heroine, who could well be the owner of all the wealth of the purses and purses presented at the exhibition.

At the end of the opening, all the guests took part in a curator tour of the exhibition, during which they learned a lot of interesting facts and details about the presented masterpieces of decorative and applied art.

In total, the exhibition features 63 items (handbags, wallets, accessories) from the collection of arts and crafts of the Yaroslavl Art Museum.

The exhibition will run until January 20, 2019.

The action “Day in the museum for the Russian cadet”

October 10, 2018 VOHM them. I.N. Kramskoy took part in the annual all-Russian action “A Day at the Museum for the Russian Cadet.”

For students of the cadet corps of the Air Force Academy. N.E. Zhukovsky and Yu.A. Gagarin held a thematic lesson dedicated to the life of the work of the outstanding Russian battle artist, writer, graduate of the naval cadet corps Vasily Vasilyevich Vereshchagin.

The cadets got acquainted with the biography of one of the most famous Russian painters, who had an extraordinary visionary gift, anticipating the horrors of the world wars of the 20th century. The works made the participants reflect on being, life and death, imbued with the deep drama of the artistic heritage left by the great master.

Master class “Autumn motifs”

On October 7, 2018, a master class “Autumn Motifs” was held in the museum, the participants of which created a panel made of wool using the wet felting technique.
Master Lyudmila Kashirskikh shared professional secrets with the participants and helped in creating striking works.

History 4. “Visiting the Tsarist Scribe” (for children from 7 to 14 years old)

The purpose of the lesson: the formation of knowledge about the features of culture and fine art of ancient Egypt, acquaintance with the collection of ancient Egyptian art from the collection of the Voghiv them. I.N. Kramskoy.

The first part of the lesson is devoted to the peculiarities of the worldview and way of life of the ancient Egyptians, customs and professions. Special attention will be paid to the scribe profession.

A small trip to the time of the pharaohs, mysterious tombs and mysterious mummies will be possible by visiting the exhibition of ancient Egyptian art, which presents the original works of art of ancient Egypt.

In the creative workshop, the final stage of the lesson, the participants will sign out an illustrated plaster relief imitating an ancient Egyptian monument, which will remain a vivid reminder of visiting the museum.

Each museum class involves a theoretical part on a permanent exhibition of the museum and a practical part in a creative workshop, where participants learn about different ways of creating works of art.

Participants will get acquainted with the collection of ancient Greek ceramics, learn about pottery art and vase painting, get an idea of ​​the purpose and application of ancient Greek vessels in public life, and in the course of the practical part will consolidate their knowledge.

“The heroic image in art”
On the Day of Defender of the Fatherland, the Art Museum named after I.N. Kramskoy will hold a special museum lesson for boys “Heroic image in art.” In the course of the theoretical part, participants will reflect on what it means to be strong, brave, courageous, as these qualities manifest, suggest how the artists portrayed courage, strength, the exposition will familiarize themselves with the image of the characters from different eras. Especially for girls Art Museum. I.N. Participants will get acquainted on a constant exposition with different genres of the fine arts. Learn about the features of still life, portrait, landscape and genre paintings. The knowledge gained will be consolidated during the practical part of the lesson.

“Visiting the royal scribe”
At the lesson, participants will take a trip to the past, learn the secrets of the pyramid country and visit the ancient Egyptian scribe. In the course of the practical part, they will consolidate their knowledge and try themselves in the role of ancient Egyptian scribes.

Ladies’ Handbag Exhibition (0+)

October 12, 2018 on the third floor of the main building VOHM them. I.N. Kramskoy will open the Ladies’ Handbag exhibition.

The exhibition “Lady’s Handbag” represents a part of the collection of arts and crafts of the Yaroslavl Art Museum, more than 60 items (handbags, wallets, accessories).

The collection of handbags of the XIX-XX centuries, the Yaroslavl Museum collects since the 1980s, now it has more than 100 works. Among them are European-made tapestry, leather, suede, metal bags embroidered with beads and colored threads. The most interesting exhibits are a handbag with a whistle designed to scare away bullies, purses from mother-of-pearl shells of the beginning of the 20th century, beaded wallets.

Ladies’ handbag is not just an accessory, but one of the most necessary and important items for a woman who can hold a whole world. Graceful and elegant, fantasy and comfortable, expensive and not very, handbags reflect the character, addictions and mood of its owner.

The history of the bag is lost in ancient times. The need for a device for carrying things became apparent in prehistoric times. The first bags, apparently, were knots from the skins of the primitive period. Later, textile bags appeared to carry small items. They were already known in ancient Egypt. Antiquity and the Middle Ages made handbags, which were worn on the belt, a fashion accessory, costume decoration. With the introduction of monetary circulation, wallets appeared. The richly decorated handbags and wallets were worn by representatives of wealthy classes, both men and women. With the invention of the pocket in the XVII century, men gradually abandoned the purse, handbags, while women could not part with the handbag.

Ladies handbags by the beginning of the XX century amazed by the variety of materials and techniques of their creation. They allowed the lady to show their individuality or, on the contrary, to emphasize the commitment to the latest fashion trends. Handbags were made by individual craftswomen and specialized workshops.

The cycle of master classes on animation “Yourself the Animator” (8+)

The Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy invites children from 8 years old and their parents to the cycle of master classes on animation “Sam Makes himself a Multiplier”, which will take place during the school year.

Teachers of the “Teleskop” studio – Olesya Skorobogatova and Konstantin Kolgushkin will conduct 8 classes, the participants of which will have the opportunity:

– take part in collective shooting;
– create your own short animation sketch;
– try yourself as a screenwriter, artist, actor, director and sound engineer;
– get acquainted with various techniques for creating animation in theory and practice: paper, plasticine, collage animation, pixelation.

On master classes, children and their parents will work in a team, talk about themselves, about their fantasies, invent unprecedented stories and embody them in their animated sketches.

During the lesson, participants will learn about the history and techniques of animation, the basic principles of creating a film and an animation hero. Also on the master class beginners will remove animated sketches.

The master class will introduce participants to the principles of creating a cartoon of plasticine. Participants will come up with stories about their heroes, they will learn to visualize them in the format of a graphic script (storyboards) and “revive” with the help of special shooting equipment.

Lesson “Collage”
December 16, 2018 at 11.00 and at 15.00
The lesson will reveal the secrets of creating animation in the technique of “collage” 1. Participants will learn how to combine different materials in one work, as well as learn about the features of panoramic shooting and jointly create a small cartoon.

Participants will get acquainted with the features of creating a cartoon with the use of bulk materials (pasta, rice, buckwheat, etc.), and create etudes in this technique.

At the master class, beginners will try to create a cartoon in the technique of “hand-drawn animation.” Drawing a frame-by-frame, participants will learn to think through animation movements, like iconic animators.

“Cartoon animation” class

During the lesson, participants experiment with material such as cardboard. They will create their characters and remove the animation sketch in this technique.

Activity “Animation of Effects”
On April 14, 2019 at 12.00 hours
Participants will learn with which tools animators in cartoons create various effects, such as snow, rain and fire. At the lesson, the guys will try to come up with a collective sketch with the re-creation of these natural elements.

Lesson “Pixelation”
May 19, 2019 at 12.00 hours
The final lesson of the cycle will introduce the unusual animation technique that turns the real world into an animated one. Children and their parents will become participants in the cartoon, they will be able to try on super abilities and amazing roles.
