Johann Alexander Thiele is a German painter and engraver. The artist was born in Erfurt. From early childhood Johann was fond of art, so five years devoted to training the apprentice in his hometown. After, in 1710, the painter moved to Arnstadt, where he married Clara Benigna. A few years later Thiele went to live in Dresden, where he studied landscape painting. Many paintings of the artist acquired Saxon Minister Henry James Fleming for his collection, it was the first patron of the master. When Fleming died, Alexander Thiele returned to Arnstadt and settled down as a court painter of the Duke, also working on orders in Braunschweig and Kassel. Johann Alexander Thiele was a respected landscape painter. He depicted in his canvases of the Czech villages of the Ore mountains, Zittau and Dresden with the August bridge, also created the first artistic views of the city of Lößnitz.

In 1741, the painter’s wife died, but after a while his wife was Sophia Dorothea, who gave birth to Johanna’s son.

Johann Alexander Thiele died in 1752 and was buried in the cemetery of Dresden. All his property and paintings were put up for auction.

Three years after the death of Thiele, art historian and collector Ludwig von Hagedorn published a biography of the painter. Also the memory of the artist immortalized his second wife Dorothea, which was published brochures and albums with prints of paintings of the painter. And only 250 years after the artist’s death in 2002 in Saxony was organized an exhibition of his paintings, which enjoyed great success.

Thiele’s son Johann Friedrich Alexander Thiele later took over the principles of his father’s composition and also became a landscape painter.

Master class for creating a still life with Sepia

During the lesson dedicated to still life creation with Sepia, the participants learned the skills of different techniques of working with this graphic material, and using strokes of different intensity, as well as applying shading, created their own unique work.

Opening of the photo exhibition “the Bright colors of Rio”

February 28, 2018 in VOHM im. In. Kramskogo held a solemn opening of the photo exhibition of the famous Voronezh journalist Vitaly Mukhin “bright colors of Rio”, which was attended by the author himself.

Opening the solemn part, the Director of the Museum Vladimir Dobromirov, welcomed all those present and spoke about opened the exhibition, noting that it has several thematic sections, each of which tells its own interesting history.

Anna Zager, head of the social project “1+1: learning to live together”, thanked the Museum for the opportunity to enjoy art for people with disabilities.

Alexander Popov, head OF rurc “Accessible environment”, which is a longtime friend and partner of the Museum expressed gratitude to the Museum and the project participants in the person of its head for the opportunity to do a common job.

Anatoly Mordasov, Chairman of the Commission on health, physical culture and healthy lifestyle promotion of the public chamber of the Voronezh region, noted the importance and social significance of the project, congratulated the author of the photo exhibition, which is his longtime friend and partner in the sports field.

At the end of the opening ceremony, Vitaly Mukhin thanked the Museum for the opportunity to show a wide range of spectators their exhibition works at one of the main venues in Voronezh.

After the opening of the exhibition, all those present took part in a creative meeting with the photographer, during which he shared his impressions about the trip to Brazil, answered the guests ‘ questions and held an autograph session.

The exhibition will last until April 8, 2018.

The opening of the personal exhibition of Zorikto Dorzhiev’s “Steppe story”

Opening the solemn part, the Director of the Museum Vladimir Dobromirov thanked all those present for their attention, noted the originality and uniqueness of the artist. V. Dobromirov called Zorikto dorzhiyev “the founder of the national Buryat epic”, and his works – the embodiment of love for the history of the Motherland and its people.

From the speech of the first Deputy head of the Department of culture of the Voronezh region Maria Mazur sounded that Buryat motifs are surprisingly combined with modern art, and each canvas is imbued with the history of life of this people. Maria Alexandrovna expressed her conviction that the exhibition” Steppe history ” will be of great interest to the audience, which will receive from its viewing aesthetic and intellectual pleasure.

Director of “Khankhalaev Gallery”, Konstantin Khankhalaev announced that the Voronezh – the first city where Zorikto Dorji begins a tour with the project “Steppe story” by Russia.

Completing the ceremony in response, the artist said:”painting is a pleasure, and twice the holiday – to travel with them in Russia.” The author thanked the audience for their attention and multifaceted communication, and the Museum – for the opportunity to show the audience the project at one of the main exhibition venues in Voronezh.

The exhibition will last until April 8, 2018.

Bogolyubov, Aleksey Petrovich

Alexey Bogolyubov is a Russian painter and marine painter.

Alexey Petrovich was born in the Novgorod province. His childhood and youth were little associated with art, but the desire and talent for drawing he showed at an early age. Bogolyubov was brought up in The marine corps and, being a cadet, was engaged in painting. In 1839-began service in the Navy, and after 10 years he was among the officers of the ship “Kamchatka”, which went to the Madera Duke Maximilian leichtenberg, who met with drawings Bogolyubov, advised the young officer to devote himself to art.

Painter followed the advice of the Duke, and in 1850 entered the Academy of fine arts, where his teachers were Professor M. P. Vorob’ev and I. B. Villevalde. Bogolyubov graduated from the Academy in 1863 with the first gold medal and at the same time on the highest command was appointed artist Of the General staff.

In 1852, the artist was awarded a second gold medal. Leaving the marine service, Bogolyubov for seven years he traveled in Europe, where in Paris he worked in the workshop of Isobe, and for two years he studied at the famous marine painter Andrew Achenbach. After returning to Russia, the artist received the title of academician, and in 1860 – the title of Professor of painting.

Emperor Alexander II, assessing the works and talent Bogolyubov, instructed him to write in the paintings of the history of the fleet of Peter the Great. In 1871, the artist wrote several frescos for the Orthodox Church in Paris.

The last twenty years of his life Bogolyubov lived in Paris, only occasionally visiting Russia.

The artist died in Paris in 1896.

Alexey Bogolyubov is one of the first and most talented Russian painters. It can be put together with the best European marine painters. The advantage of the artist is that he knew Russian nature perfectly, his more extensive compositions on the part of naval battles also remained in the history of the Russian landscape, paintings made on behalf of the emperors Nicholas and Alexander II, form a gallery, which is almost complete history of the Russian Navy.

The value of Alexei Petrovich as an artist is not so much in the artistic image of the history of the Russian fleet, but in his own works relating directly to the simple seascape. Sea, water and aerial perspective Bogolyubov knew perfectly, his seascape, he gave a strong poetic feeling.
