September 2 at the Voronezh Regional Art Museum named after I.N. Kramskoy opened the exhibition “Time and Money”.

The project, initiated by the Bank of Russia and dedicated to its 160th anniversary, became one of the events that continued the cooperation between the Bank and the Voronezh Regional Art Museum named after V.I. I.N. Kramskoy.

The exhibition showcases several thematic photo panels that tell about the history of money – how it was made, protected, counted, transported and stored.

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to trace the history of the development of funds for working with cash, ranging from the simplest mechanisms to modern unique technological achievements that the Bank of Russia uses in its work today. They will also see photographs of unusual devices for storing and transporting money, find out when colored banknotes and paper money appeared in general, and what means of protection against counterfeiting exist in our time.

The exhibition was attended by representatives of the Voronezh media, who talked with the head of the economic department of the Voronezh Branch of the Central Administration of the Bank of Russia in the Central Federal District Maxim Korshunov. He conducted a short TV tour, in which he introduced the concept of the exhibition and shared the most interesting facts from the life of money.

The exhibition will run until September 19, 2021.
