October 31 at the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy solemnly opened the exhibition “On the Land of the Arabs”, representing the work of academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Oleg Mikhailovich Savostyuk.

In her welcoming remarks, the director of the museum Olga Ryabchikova noted that each exhibition of the master invariably surprises. The current exhibition, striking in its novelty, modernity and color, was no exception. The exhibition has already visited the Kursk Picture Gallery, where it was very successful, and its opening within the walls of the Voronezh Art Museum is, of course, a gift for all residents and guests of the city.

The exhibition was attended by teachers and students of the Voronezh art school, since Oleg Mikhailovich is a permanent participant in the academic plein airs organized by the school’s leadership, as well as the chairman of the school examination committee. The director of the school Sergey Gulevsky emphasized that Oleg Savostyuk is incredibly young in his work, and his new exhibition shows an interesting and emotional art. It is especially pleasant that all the works were created by the artist in Voronezh, and the author is like a fountain of the city and its people.

Warm words were addressed to the artist by “colleagues in the workshop” by artists Alexander Lavrov and Alexander Zolotnykh, who noted that Oleg Savostyuk is the man who always has something to learn, and most importantly, he never ceases to amaze and amaze his viewer. The author traveled to 70 countries, he knows and feels the East, and the current exhibition, filled with great emotionality and tremendous vitality, presents highly artistic compositions in which the master uses bold finds, open colors and original moves.

Oleg Mikhailovich Savostyuk himself, with his inherent humor, talked about what makes him work and what he draws inspiration from, thanked all those present, and after the official opening he warmly talked with his fans.

The presented exposition contains 103 works that reveal the theme of the author’s travels in the countries of the Middle East. The current Arab East is a combination of antiquity and ultramodernity. Chic Mercedes and Audi overtake caravans of camels, and high-speed military aircraft rush in the sky above mosques. Each work that conveys the beauty of the desert, the midday sun, moving caravans is a reflection of today’s life and today’s worldview.

The exhibition runs through November 17, 2019.
