On October 5, an exhibition of paintings and graphics by Sergei Gulevsky was opened at the Kramskoy Art Museum.
In a welcome speech, the director of the museum Vladimir Dobromirov said: “We all know Sergei Petrovich first of all as the director of the art school, the main initiator and organizer of the Voronezh open airs, but today he shows us his creative face.”
The first deputy head of the department Maria Mazur, who conveyed best wishes from the head of the culture department of Emilia Sukhacheva, greeted the author and added: “I, as the daughter of the artist, are absolutely convinced that the real artist is the one whose works reflect the soul, and in the works of Sergei Petrovich it is. ”
Head of the City Administration of Culture of the city district of Voronezh city Andrey Kharitonov noted the symbolism of the fact that the opening of the exhibition takes place on the day of the teacher. Andrey Vasilievich congratulated all teachers on their professional holiday, wished everyone health and creative inspiration.
Alexei Smirnov, the chairman of the board of the Voronezh regional organization of the Union of Artists, said that watercolor is a very special kind of technique in which one can not fool around, and few are able to fully understand this skill, and Sergei Gulevsky, in Alexei Efimovich’s opinion, is certainly one of those few artists who have obeyed this technique.
In conclusion of the solemn part of the opening, Professor Bronislav Tabachnikov noted that another facet of the work of Sergei Gulevsky is “fantastic devotion to Voronezh culture” and the motto of the artist, according to the speaker, could be the following lines of Voronezh poet Anatoly Zhigulin: “And what are you, Are you settling on ?! You will never give up to me, while in the world there is Voronezh – love and my homeland”.
The exhibition will run until November 5, 2017 (inclusive).
