Zoya Kamaeva graduated from Voronezh Art College, Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after Surikov. The artist has repeatedly participated in group exhibitions, worked as an illustrator with the publishing house CondeNast, Samsung, the agency Chail, the Austrian publishing house Facultas.

The project “Thin, silk paper” first appears to the general public. As an inspiration for work on the tale of “Salvation Fatima” for the artist served as medieval Persian masterpieces. Zoya Kamaeva follows the footsteps of Wilhelm Hauf, known for his elegant, magical tales, and as timidly as their author, approaches the material.

The works presented at the exhibition are a combination of modern approach and careful attitude to tradition. Zoya Kamaeva’s illustrations, swift and light, tell the story of Mustafa, who went to save his sister Fatima and her friend, kidnapped by pirates. The artist created colorful images of the heroes of the fairy tale – beautiful Fatima, brave Mustafa, noble robber, rich man – from which you can understand the characters’ characters.

Some of the elements of the illustrations were drawn manually, some were created on the computer. As Zoya Kamaeva says, she wanted to explore the possibilities of a computer as an artistic tool.

Immerse yourself in the world of the East, get acquainted with the creativity of Zoe Kamaeva in the Higher School of Art named after I.N. Kramskoy can be until May 28.

The entrance fee for the exhibition is included in the ticket price for the main exhibition.

The cost of an individual visit to the exhibition is 50 rubles for all categories of visitors.
