The 200th anniversary of the collection of Egyptian antiquities of Otto Friedriech von Richter at the Kramskoy Regional Museum of Fine Arts.

Exhibition of nearly 150 objects from the oldest collection of Egyptian antiquities in Russia, gathered by Baron Otto Friedrich von Richter (1791-1816), who travelled in Egypt from Alexandria to Qasr Ibrim in 1815. He purchased many antiquities at Saqqara and Deir el-Medina. Some outstanding Egyptian items kept in the museum, came also from the Theban cachette of Bab el-Gasus and were presented to Russia by the Khedive of Egypt in 1824.
