October 6 at 16.00 in the exhibition hall of the VOKHM them. I.N. Kramskoy held a grand opening of the philosophical exhibition of the Moscow artist and cameraman Andrei Petrovich Pashkevich. The exhibition is timed to the Year of Cinema in Russia.

During the years of perestroika, Andrei Pashkevich began working on the creation of a special series of paintings called “Politecology.” Under the impression of important changes that occurred in the times of Gorbachev, AP. Pashkevich expressed in his paintings his own view and attitude to the events taking place in the country. According to him, in picturesque canvases, he tried to create some kind of ecology and thus, “cleanse” the fearful and often unsightly moments of political life.

Portraits, paintings from the “Politecology” series, abstract compositions by Andrey Pashkevich are presented in many collections around the world: in the collection of George Bush Sr., in the Richard Nixon library in the US, as well as in private collections in Germany, Finland, France, India, Portugal , South Korea, Belgium.

The exhibition will last until November 6.

The price of an adult ticket is 150 rubles, for pensioners, students of higher education institutions of full-time education, schoolchildren, students of secondary special educational institutions, cadets of military schools – 100 rubles.
