The exhibition, which presented the audience about 30 paintings and graphic works, is timed to coincide with the celebration of the Days of Israel in Voronezh.

The exhibition project was opened by acting. director Yuliya Zaichenko. She thanked all those present and noted the great importance of this exhibition. It is worth noting that many of the works are exhibited for the first time – before that, the engravings were in the storage facility. At the end of the greeting, Yulia Nikolaevna gave the floor to the curator of the exhibition, senior researcher, specialist in Western European art Valeria Meremyanina.

Valeria Alexandrovna led a curatorial tour of the exhibition. She paid special attention to several plots – “Susanna and the Elders” (Book of the Prophet Daniel), “Rebveka” (Book of Genesis), “The Expulsion of Iliodor” (Second Book of Maccabees), “Moses in the Basket” (Book of Exodus). These plots were more often than others interpreted by artists of different schools and trends. Therefore, the exhibition presents several works by masters of the 17th-20th centuries, illustrating real stories.

The exhibition is located on the third floor of the museum’s permanent exhibition.

The exhibition project will last until November 6 (inclusive).
