On October 19, Voronezh will host the All-Russian art exhibition “Communication of Generations”, dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the birth of Peter I. The venue of the event will be the three main exhibition venues of Voronezh:

  • Voronezh Regional Art Museum named after I.N. Kramskoy Kramskoy (Revolution Ave., 18);
  • City Exhibition Hall (Kirova str., 8);
  • Exhibition hall “Union of Artists of Russia” (Pushkinskaya str., 7b).

The opening of the exhibition at the Voronezh Regional Art Museum named after I.N. Kramskoy will take place at 15:00.

The initiator of the large-scale event was the Voronezh branch of the Union of Artists of Russia with the support of the Regional Government.

The name “Connection of Generations” implies a wide coverage of time, from the beginning of the XVIII century to the present day, and yet the main character of the exhibition will be the bright, multifaceted personality of the reformer tsar himself, whose image has inspired creativity for more than one century. The turbulent events of the Petrine era also cannot leave anyone indifferent, and today they are becoming particularly relevant.

The audience expects not only the joy of another meeting with art, but also a serious conversation about the heroic history of the Fatherland, reflections on the past and present, about our place in this complex world.

In total, more than 700 works of painting, graphics, sculpture, decorative and applied, monumental and temple art, posters created in recent years will be shown at three exhibition venues. The exhibition participants will be artists from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Smolensk and cities of the Central region of Russia (Voronezh, Bryansk, Orel, Kursk, Lipetsk, Penza, Tambov, Belgorod, Vladimir).
