On July 28, 2022, on the third floor of the main building of the I.N. Kramskoy VOHM, the exhibition “Emperors and Associates. To the 350th anniversary of Peter the Great.” All the works presented at the exhibition come from the collection of the I.N. Kramskoy VOHM.
The retrospective exhibition will include about 30 paintings, graphic and sculptural works in the genres of chamber and salon portraits, as well as plot-symbolic graphic portraits.
The exhibition “Emperors and Associates” introduces the works of Russian painters and graphic artists, as well as Western European graphic artists who worked in the genre of portrait. The main focus of the exhibition is on the work of Russian artists of the XVIII century. The exhibition presents works by A.P. Antropov, graphics by A.F. Zubov, artists of the F.S. Rokotov circle, copies of sculptures by F.I. Shubin and M.-A. Kollo, graphics by I. Wagner, P. Gunst, P. Picart.
The exhibition will present to visitors portraits of members of the House of Romanov, as well as representatives of the Russian aristocracy and little–known noble families of the XVIII – early XIX century, who jointly created and strengthened the Russian Empire. Special attention is paid to the image of its founder – Emperor Peter I.
ATTENTION! On the opening day from 16.00 to 17.00 admission to the exhibition is free. From 17.00 – by tickets.
