October 23 at 15.00 in the VOKhM them. I.N. Kramskoy will host a lecture “The poetics of the landscape by Alexei Savrasov”.

The lecture will tell about the life and work of the landscape painter, founding member of the Association of Traveling Art Exhibitions Alexei Kondratyevich Savrasov (1830-1897).

Landscape in Russian art has its own stages of development, each of which reflects the changing relationship between man and nature. One of the significant Russian landscape painters of the second half of the 19th century is Alexei Kondratyevich Savrasov, whose works for their special musicality were compared with the landscape lyrics of Russian composers: P. Tchaikovsky, M. Glinka, N. Rimsky-Korsakov. The finest color nuances, the pure melody of the drawing, the intonational variability of the texture formed the basis of the lyrical landscape created by A.K. Savrasov of a special genre, whose original manifesto was the well-known painting The Rooks Have Arrived (1871, State Tretyakov Gallery).

“Art and landscapes are not needed, where there is no feeling,” said the artist. – If there is no soul, then nothing will happen in painting … A landscape has no purpose if it is only beautiful. It should have a history of the soul. It should be a sound that responds to the feelings of the heart. “

The cost of a lecture ticket is 150 rubles.
Registration is required by phone: 8 (473) 255-50-81.
