But at the end of the 19th century, completely different artists united to make a revolution and open a new page in the history of Russian art. The revolt against academism gave us the works of I.N. Kramskoy, K.E. Makovsky, G.G. Myasoedova, N.N. Ge, V. I. Surikova, I. E. Repin, V.M. Vasnetsova – golden names, the color of fine art of the late 19th century. Russian art did not know anything similar before them.

At the lecture, you will learn how the Partnership began, what goals and objectives were set by the painters who stood at its origins, and what young artists opposed to the “classics”.
