04 March 2021 at the Art Museum. V.S. Sorokin – the House of the Master (a branch of the Lipetsk Regional Art Museum) opened an exhibition “Female images in the visual arts of the XX century” from the funds of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum named after I.N. Kramskoy.

The exhibition “Female Images in the Fine Arts of the 20th Century” presents to the attention of the viewer an amazing gallery of female portraits of the art of the Soviet period. The exposition features about 30 works performed in various techniques.

The theme of a woman, her inner world and attitude towards her in different historical epochs has always occupied a special place in the visual arts. From century to century, women have consistently inspired artists to create the greatest works. The artists portray their models with gentle care, creating an amazing portrait gallery of female images. A sense of grace and a freshness of impression are reflected in each piece.

The exhibition will run until April 28, 2021.
