Elena Andreevna Kiseleva is a brilliant art master of the Silver Age. A woman with a difficult fate, whose work was undeservedly forgotten for many decades and only in the 60s. XX century became popular again.

The portraits of the artist’s brush reflected the entire diverse era of the Silver Age, full of unexpected turns and fatal events. Why only in portraits? Because, by Elena Andreevna’s own admission, her true passion was the image of beautiful female faces.

The exhibition presents a galaxy of picturesque portraits by the artist, telling in detail about the 1910 self-portrait “The Artist with a Green Vase” from the funds of the VOKhM them. I.N. Kramskoy, from which Elena Andreevna looks directly at the viewer, at the same time thoughtfully peering into herself.
