Painting and graphics from the funds of VOKhM them. I.N. Kramskoy ”, dedicated to the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Lipetsk region.

Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy is one of the largest scientific, artistic, cultural and educational centers of the city of Voronezh and the entire Chernozem region. The museum pays great attention to the preservation and enhancement of the collection of works by Voronezh artists, who at different times in life and work, or in circumstances of birth, were associated with Voronezh.

The value of the collection stored in the museum’s funds, reflecting the realities of the life of the Voronezh land in its various historical periods, is truly great both in aesthetic and applied aspects. The period of the 20th century is especially interesting.

Attention to the Soviet era and Soviet art of different periods, is experiencing its rise. Around the concepts of “Soviet era, Soviet art, Soviet people” are debated, debated, made the most mixed assessments of the creators and the very time: relatively close and already so distant.

The exhibition “Life, Art, Time” introduces the works of Voronezh artists of the 60-70s of the XX century. This period in the artistic life of Voronezh is marked by a lively and multifaceted process of formation and growth of masters of painting, graphics, decorative and applied art, sculpture. They are searching for new expressive means in each of the types of fine art, searching for dynamism, laconicism, simplicity of plot, generalization with vivid emotionality and acuteness.

The exhibition is retrospective, it presents 30 paintings and graphic works by artists of a given period, in the genre of a plot-thematic painting, landscape and portrait, illustrating the diversity of their interests and ideas.

The exhibition will run until December 8, 2019.
