September 6, 2019 in the exhibition hall of VOGM named after I.N. Kramskoy began an exhibition of photographs of a new project directed by Al Ersburn (nee Elena Rodina) in his hometown.

The VORONEZH: FIRST CONTACT photo project , dedicated to the study of graffiti in various areas of Voronezh, was launched in September 2015.

What unites primitive people who wrote and painted on the rocks with people of the 21st century who also write messages to fellow citizens while remaining incognito? Are graffiti a work of art, a cry of the soul, or just an insult to the city? Director Al Ersburn poses these questions to Voronezh residents, guests of the city and, of course, to herself.

As the author of the exhibition says: “When I returned to my homeland, after 14 years of absence, the first thing that caught my eye was the graffiti, the space of Voronezh spoke to me, and I came into contact with him. “

The exposition consists of 17 photos.

The exhibition will last until September 22.
