June 12, 2019, the Kaliningrad Museum of Fine Arts hosted the opening of the exhibition Treasures of Museums of Russia, which is a continuation of the same-name exhibition, which was held with unprecedented success in November 2018 at the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall (Moscow).

Kaliningrad is the first city in the country to host the exhibition “Treasures of Russian Museums”. Representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the State Duma, the Government of the Kaliningrad Region, the Kaliningrad Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church, the ROSIZO, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Foundation for Humanitarian Projects, public and cultural figures, friends and partners of the museum took part in the ceremony.

Among the “pearls” are paintings by Ivan Shishkin, Boris Kustodiev, Ivan Kramsky, Arkhip Kuinji, Ilya Repin, Robert Falk and other prominent artists. The paintings represent the “golden fund” of the domestic fine arts, 50 canvases, many of which have never left the borders of their museums before. At the exhibition you can see all genres of painting: portrait, landscape, historical canvases and genre scenes.

After Kaliningrad, the exhibition will go to Sakhalin, and in October of this year it will be presented in Voronezh.
