The works of the museum collection acquaint with the most important political and military events, stages of development of science and culture, trends in the development of art in the XVIII century.

The engraving of the first quarter of the 18th century had two main functions: responding quickly to events taking place in the state, it played an important informational role; at the same time it was a means of propaganda and enlightenment, it was intended to capture the key moments of history. These two tasks determined the character and artistic language of the works.
