December 15 at 12.00 in the VOKHM them. I.N. Kramskoy will open an interactive zone with tactile exhibits designed specifically for visitors with visual impairments.

The project with the provisional title “Touching History” is the result of the joint work of the VOKHM named after V. I.N. Kramsk and Voronezh Regional Training and Resource Center “Affordable Environment”, conducted within the framework of the state program “Affordable Environment”.

Within the framework of the event, 10 tactile copies of the museum exhibits will be presented, including tactile paintings, reproducing works of Russian and West European painters, as well as replicas of sculptures of the collection of ancient Egyptian art.

In addition to tactile paintings and exhibits, a video guide was created with descriptions of exhibits of the main exposition of the museum in sign language.

The complex of these works in the Voronezh region was completed for the first time.

This event is a kind of demonstration of the results of large-scale work on the creation of tactile exhibits, and the opportunity to test the created product by its direct users – people with visual and hearing problems.

In the future, the presented interactive space will become a site for excursions and classes for visitors with impaired vision.
