The opening of the exhibition began with a speech by the director of the VOKHM named after A.Ya. I.N. Kramskoy – Vladimir Dmitrievich Dobromirov, who introduced the guests of honor and noted that this exhibition is an event of historical importance and an opportunity to trace the various stages of the author’s creative path.

With a salutatory word to the gathered the governor of the Voronezh region – Alexey Vasilevich Gordeev addressed. In his speech, he also stressed that the opening of the exhibition is a unique event, and the exhibition itself, in fact, a tribute to the memory of a great artist, a man of the World who is known to the entire world community.

In addition, Alexei Gordeyev emphasized the fact that this exhibition will be exhibited absolutely free of charge, which, of course, is a gift to all Voronezh residents and guests of the city.

Then the initiator of the exhibition – Felix Romanovich Komarov – made it possible to “return home” to the great master. He shared his memories of his friend Ernst Neizvestny, who recently passed away, told about the exhibition at the Manege dedicated to the artist’s 90th birthday, and the idea of ​​bringing an exhibition to Voronezh, a city with a special atmosphere and attitude to the beautiful.

At the end of the solemn part, the member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts Oleg Savostyuk spoke about Ernst Neizvestny, who was his classmate, and about the peculiarities of his work. Also, Oleg Savostyuk expressed his special gratitude to the Governor of the Voronezh Region and the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy.
