Classes of the cycle are held by the children’s museum center “Orangerie” together with the member of the Board of the Union of Artists of Russia Valery Semenov.

The creation of linocuts involves working with materials such as linoleum. Work of this kind is more labor-intensive, in many respects, that is why today the appeal to this kind of art is not so common.

Valery Semenov introduced the participants of the master class to engraving on linoleum, showed the main approaches to work. Linocut can be colored and black and white. The participants of the lesson mastered color printing and created a four-color linocut.

The next master class will be held on April 2 and will be dedicated to creating cartoons.
