January 28 at 16.00 the exhibition hall of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I. Kramskoy will be the opening of an exhibition of works by famous painter, member of the International Federation of Artists of UNESCO, member of the Union of Artists of Russia Vasily Ivanovich Shevchenko.

The artist was born in the village of Kolibelka, Liskinsky district, Voronezh region. During the Great Patriotic War, he fought in the infantry, in 1945 he was seriously wounded near Koenigsberg, and was awarded government decorations. Since 1950 he lived in Lipetsk.

Vasily Shevchenko did not receive systematic art education, independently perfected his painting, which is distinguished by the character of universal humanity.

The exposition presents about fifty paintings, demonstrating the main themes and subjects in the artist’s work from the funds of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.Kramskiy.

The ticket price for the exhibition VI. Shevchenko for adult visitors 100 rubles, for pensioners, students of higher educational institutions, schoolchildren, students of secondary special educational institutions – 50 rubles.
