Serge Hollerbach: Naked Truth (12+)

November 5 at 17.00 in the lecture hall of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I. Kramskoy will be shown a documentary about the Russian painter, graphic artist, art critic and writer Sergei Gollerbach.

The film “Serge Hollerbach: Naked Truth” (“Sergey Hollerbach: The Naked Truth” (New York, USA, 2015)) of the Russian-American theater and film director, screenwriter, artist and writer El Ersburn is timed to the 92nd anniversary of the artist, born November 1, 1923 in the city of Detskoye Selo (former Tsarskoye Selo), during the war, taken to work in Germany, liberated by the US army and for 65 years living in New York. The film immerses the viewer into the emotional atmosphere of the artist’s creativity, reveals the sides of his character and technique of work. The main attention in the film is given to drawings of nude nature, as well as sketches of the homeless on the streets of the “Big Apple”. The film uses literary fragments from the artist’s book “Light Direct and Reflected,” as well as interviews with friends and collectors.

In the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I. Kramskoy stored “Self-portrait” by Sergei Gollerbach, donated by a famous Voronezh local historian Oleg Grigorievich Lasunsky. Together with El Ersburn, he will present the film to the Voronezh audience and donate to the museum graphic drawings of the artist.

Admission is free with a ticket to the museum.
