Dear guests! In connection with the preparation for the 6th Platonic Festival of Arts, the exhibition “Masterpieces of Gustave Dore” ends its work ahead of schedule. We apologize for any inconvenience. Administration of the museum.

For the first time in Voronezh since April 20 in the exhibition hall of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I. Kramskoy for all guests and residents of the city will be exhibited the works of an outstanding French artist and graphic artist of the XIX century Gustave Dore, who remains to this day in the 21st century, the greatest illustrator of literary works.

The exhibition features more than 120 illustrations that brought him worldwide fame. Among them: John Milton’s Lost Paradise, Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, François Rene de Chateaubriant’s Atala, The Cunning Hidalgo Don Quixote of La Mancha, Miguel Cervantes’s The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Rudolf Erich Raspe, The Fables of Lafontaine, The Legend of werewolf “L’Epin,” Fairy Tales “by Charles Perrault, as well as illustrations for the Bible, made in the technique of lithography in the late XIX century.

Gustave Dore created tens of thousands of works, each of which is included in the gold fund of the world’s artistic heritage. And even today, in the 21st century, the scale of his genius does not fit into any framework.

The exhibition will run until May 29.

Admission cost: for adults – 250 rubles, for students, for pensioners – 200 rubles, for schoolchildren – 100 rubles, for school children in the group – 50 rubles.
