April 26, 2017 at 16.00 on the third floor of the main exposition of the VOKH them. I.N. An exhibition of works by the artist Zoe Kamaeva “Thin, silk paper” will open in Kramskoy.

About thirty of the works presented at the exhibition are illustrations to the famous fairy tale of Wilhelm Hauf “Salvation of Fatima”. The author was inspired by masterpieces created by medieval Persian miniature artists and, in particular, by the artists of the schools of Tabriz and Herat.

The author hopes that some modern technologies and approaches to illustration, combined with a careful attitude to the source of inspiration, will help create something interesting for the viewer.

Zoya Vyacheslavovna Kamaeva was born in Voronezh in 1962.

In 1979, after graduation, she entered the Voronezh Art College, where she studied until 1982. In 1985 she entered the Moscow State Fine Arts Institute named after Surikov, where she studied at the workshop of the People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, member of the Russian Academy of Arts – O.M. Savostyuk and People’s Artist of Russia, a member of the Russian Academy of Arts – N. L. Voronkov.

In 1991 she defended her diploma with a series of lithographs. In the 90 years was a participant in youth exhibitions (1994 – a youth exhibition in the Central House of Artists) as well as foreign ones – in 1995, 2000 Gallery Forum, Austria. Since the end of the university works as a free artist.

As an illustrator she collaborated with the publishing house Conde Nast, with Samsung, the agency CHAIL, the Austrian publishing house facultas and various other agencies and publishers.

The entrance fee for the exhibition is included in the ticket price for the main exhibition.

The cost of an individual visit to the exhibition is 50 rubles for all categories of visitors.

The exhibition will last until May 28, 2017.
