February 22, 2017 at 16.00 in the exhibition hall of the VOKHM them. I.N. Kramskoy opens exhibition of the artist Andrei Drozdov “On Guard of the Fatherland” timed to the Day of Defender of the Fatherland.

At the exhibition, prepared in the framework of the project of traveling exhibitions “Holy Russia – preserve the Faith Orthodox”, more than 70 works of painting and graphics will be presented.

Andrei Drozdov is a vivid representative of the Russian Painting School, his work is distinguished by a clear understanding that an artist should bring to the world only high, pure, sincere art. The artist works in the traditions of a realistic school of painting. His works touch upon the themes of charity, kindness, the greatness of military heroism.

The exhibition “On the Watch of the Fatherland” is dedicated to people who stood sacredly in defense of their Motherland, champions of Orthodoxy, great Holy generals, and ordinary people, our contemporaries. Complement this system are the picturesque etudes of the corners of our Motherland, with its endless fields, expanses, the breadth of the Russian land. These fleeting sketches-sketches – impressions and empathy from the seen beauty of Russia.

The artist’s works are in private collections in Russia, USA, Greece, Germany, France, Italy.

The exhibition will last until March 19, 2017.

Admission fee for adults is 100 rubles, for pensioners, students of higher educational institutions of full-time education, schoolchildren, students of secondary special educational institutions, cadets of military schools – 50 rubles.
