The 2018 Pirelli calendar was the photo-screen of Lewis Carroll’s fairy tale “Alice in Wonderland” by the famous British fashion photographer Tim Walker.

Inspired by the immortal work of Lewis Carroll, as well as illustrations for the first edition of the book, created in 1865 by the artist John Tenniel, Tim Walker offers a new reading of one of the most famous stories in the history of world literature.

A feature of the 2018 Pirelli calendar was that only dark-skinned models were shot for him. Tim Walker attracted to the shooting of 18 characters, both famous and young, promising talents, including musicians, actors, TV presenters, writers, models, etc. The role of Alice was brilliantly coped by the Australian model of Sudanese origin Dacian. Naomi Campbell played the Royal Executioner, actress, writer and TV presenter Whoopi Goldberg became the Duchess, Sasha Lane became the March Hare, actress and producer, and lawyer Tando Hopa reincarnated into the Red Princess.

For the filming of the calendar, which took place in London in May 2017, unique costumes and decorations were created by the outstanding English stage designer Shauna Heath and the new chief editor of the British magazine Vogue, an icon of the modern fashion world – Edward Annninful.
