June 4, as part of the 7th International Platonov Festival of Arts in the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy opened the exhibition “Sergei Romanovich: Do painting, which remains.”

The exhibition has a retrospective character, shows different periods of the artist’s work. In the 20 years of the XX century, Sergei Romanovich worked in Voronezh and, as the art director of the Platonov Festival of Arts Mikhail Bychkov reminded the public, became one of the founders of the Voronezh State Free Art Studios.

The exhibition is made up of works that are in the collection of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoye and private collections. The curator of the exhibition is the director of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy Vladimir Dobromirov.

“This year we are participating for the seventh time in the exhibition program of the Platonic Festival of Arts. Today we are opening an exhibition of the remarkable artist Sergei Romanovich, and this exhibition has three sources: a collection of our art museum, a museum of private collections by him. CM. Romanovich’s “Heritage”, headed by Yevgeny Khamin, and the charity fund “Artists of Voronezh”, headed by Alexander Bubnov. The exposition presents about 35 works. This exhibition, as well as the exhibition of works by Alexander Tyshler, can also be called monographic, because it shows the most different periods of Sergei Romanovich’s creativity: from his radiant paintings, mythological genre to biblical parables, “Vladimir Dobromirov said.

The artist’s daughter Natalia Romanovich, who could not attend the opening of the exhibition, sent an appeal to all her visitors:

“Dear lovers of painting: both those who are experienced in perceiving it, and those who are just entering this complex area of beauty! Thank you for your attention and I ask you to slowly and unhesitatingly examine these paintings, so unlike anything that the hurried XX and XXI century showed us. These picture-messages are written for you, addressed to you by a man of a noble mind and heart, who all his life sought beauty and strove to embody it in his art to give it to you. Accept his gifts and open your mind and soul to them. ”

Yevgeny Khamin stressed that it was thanks to Natalia Romanovich, through her active participation, today we can touch the artist’s artistic heritage.
