August 27 at 16.00 in the exhibition hall of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy as part of the Day of Russian Cinema will host a screening of the author’s film “Serge Hollerbach: Naked Truth” by the Russian-American theater and film director, screenwriter El Ersbourne (Elena Rodina) about the artist Sergei Lvovich Gollerbach.

Painter, graphic artist and art critic lives and works in the USA. Gollerbach is the honorary president of the American Society of Watercolorists, an active member of the National Academy of Arts in New York. The Gollerbach family was in exile in Voronezh from 1935 to 1937, and here the future artist first began to visit the art studio.

The film uses literary fragments from the artist’s book “The Light Direct and Reflected,” as well as interviews with friends and collectors.

The museum’s collection contains a self-portrait of the artist, donated by a famous Voronezh literary critic and friend of the artist OG. Lasunsky. In 2015, he presented the museum with 13 more graphic sheets by Sergei Gollerbach from his personal collection.
