January 4 at VOKhM them. I.N. Kramskoy hosted a meeting “Christmas evening in the museum.”

The guests of the evening got acquainted with works of Italian painting (Western European art department of the main exhibition), including a masterpiece of the collection – a copy of the work of the 15th century Italian master Gentile da Fabriano “Adoration of the Magi”, made by an unknown French master in the 18th century. We learned about the history of the Christmas holiday, the importance of the image of the Virgin in art, and also heard the performance of the piano trio “Triada” (piano, violin, cello).

The trio performed the following works:
G. Mancini “Moon River”,
Melody from the Secret Garden repertoire,
Z. Fibich “Poem”,
Mix Schedrik “Pirates of the Caribbean”,
D. Newman “Waltz” (from the cartoon “Anastasia”),
New Year’s medley on themes from Soviet films.

At the end of the evening, prizes were drawn between the visitors.
