December 7 at 4:00 pm in the exhibition hall of the VOKHM named after. I.N. Kramskoy. The solemn opening of the exhibition devoted to the 90th anniversary of the People’s Artist of the RSFSR, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Oleg Mikhailovich Savostyuk will take place in Kramskoy.

The exposition will feature about 80 works done in the oil painting technique, created over the past three to four years. Genres are diverse – potret, landscape, still life, thematic picture. Of particular interest is the abstract series.

This exhibition is a frank conversation between the artist and the viewer about life in its various manifestations. Drama and tragedy, adjacent to warm humor, biblical stories, the Arab East, reflections and observations about the land of Voronezh.

Oleg Mikhailovich Savostyuk was born on December 30, 1927 in Moscow.
In 1947-1953 years. studied at the Moscow State Art Institute. VI Surikov (workshop of academicians MM Cheremnykh and NA Ponomarev).
He taught in the poster workshop of the Graphics Department of the Moscow State Art Institute. VI Surikov, since 1982, he is a professor. He also taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Finland, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poland, at the University of Denver (USA).
In the 1960-90s. cooperated with various publishing houses.
He worked in the field of theatrical poster, book graphics, easel painting, monumental painting, design. Posters and posters to the ballet performances of the Bolshoi Theater, made by the artist, entered the gold fund of the national decorating art.
Much relates the artist to the Voronezh region. Since 2001, Oleg Mikhailovich is the permanent chairman of the SAC in the Voronezh Art School, since 2011 – the head of the Academic Plein Air in Ostrogozhsk.
Oleg Mikhailovich Savostyuk was awarded numerous regalia, awards and medals, among which: the Order of Friendship of Peoples, Honor and Labor, Sergius of Radonezh for his work on the re-creation of Christ the Savior, the Order of the Voronezh land, the gold medals of the Creative Union of Artists, the Russian Academy of Arts, the RAH Medal ” , a silver medal to them. O.M. Savostyuk is a participant of the International, All-Union, All-Russian exhibitions. His solo exhibitions were held in Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, England, France, Germany, Spain, USA, Cuba, Argentina, Italy, Iran, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Kuwait, Taiwan, Czech Republic, Japan, China, Moscow and many cities The USSR and the Russian Federation, including in Voronezh.
