March 5, 2020 on the third floor of the main building of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy exhibition will start work “… And the charms of your secret to the unraveling of life is equivalent.”
Boris Pasternak’s poetic lines from the poem “To love another heavy cross …” unite about 40 paintings and graphic works from the collections of the Vokhman Art Museum named after VOGM I.N. Kramskoy. This poem, or rather the lines from the first quatrain: “And the charms of your secret to the answer to life is equivalent,” were chosen as the leitmotif of the exhibition, since they reflect a sacred thought, which, on the one hand, gives hope to unravel the essence of the female world, and on the other – claims that it’s impossible to get close to this secret.
In order to reflect on the female theme in art, paintings and graphic works in the genre of a portrait of the second half of the 18th century – 90s of the 20th century were selected. Thus, it was decided to show the types of women in various historical eras and to approve the thesis that beauty is not an outdated concept in the visual arts.
The exhibition will feature graphic portraits created by Yavlensky A.G., Buchkuri A.A., Pasternak L.O., and paintings by Vasnetsov V.M., Vakidin V.N., Prager V.I., Khoroshilova E. B., Vnodchenko Yu.F., Ronkina I.N. and other authors.
