Evening and opening of the exhibition

December 6, 2018 in the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy held an evening in honor of the 95th anniversary of the artist, writer Sergey Lvovich Gollerbakh.

The guests of honor of the evening were: local historian, honorary inhabitant of Voronezh, Oleg Lasunsky, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Blind. The evening was hosted by the director, writer, friend of the artist – Helen Rodin (Al Ersburn).

The program of the evening included the presentation of the audio book “Purpose and Case” by Sergey Gollerbach, published this year, 2018, and also the presentation of his poetic collection “Thoughts in verse-ah …”, published by the Voronezh “Center of Spiritual Revival of the Black Earth Territory” in 2017

The guests of the evening could see Sergey Gollerbach himself in a specially prepared video message of the hero of the day, which was recorded in New York on the eve of the event and sent for broadcast to Voronezh. In it Sergey Lvovich sends his regards to Voronezh and his inhabitants, shares his good memories of his short life in the capital of the Black Soil Region, and sends words of gratitude to all his friends and colleagues involved in the creation of his new books. As the director of the art museum Olga Ryabchikova noted, this exhibition is a kind of gift to Sergey Lvovich Gollerbakh, because despite the fact that the artist has been living far away from Russia for many years, he still remains spiritually connected with his homeland, and it is infinitely important for him the works were known and seen by Russian viewers.

A lot of biographical information and interesting facts from the life of the artist were told by his close friend – Oleg Lasunsky, thanks to whom VOHM them. I.N. Kramskoy became the owner of the artist’s works. It was Oleg Grigorievich who in 2008 donated to the museum the picturesque “Self-portrait” of the artist, and later, in 2015, several graphic works of the author, some of which the viewer will be able to see at the opened exhibition.

A great gift to the guests of the evening was the presentation of Evgeny Fedorovich Blind, who read an excerpt from Sergey Gollerbakh’s audio book, telling about the artist’s life during the beginning of World War II, and the life-affirming Poems about the Sun by Yunna Moritz.

At the conclusion of the official part of the evening, visitors could familiarize themselves with the exposition of works by Sergei Gollerbakh, representing 45 paintings and graphic works by the artist from the collections of the Alexander Solzhenitsyn House of Russian Abroad (Moscow), the Moscow State Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy and the personal collection of director Helena Rodina (Al Ersburn).

The evening ended with the screening of the documentary “Sergey Gollerbakh: Naked Truth” (prize for best documentary, 2016, St. Petersburg), created by director Al Ersburn.

The exhibition will run until January 20, 2019.
