The cycle of museum classes for children from 7 years old and their parents will introduce the museum’s permanent exhibition through the study of various art professions and materials with which the masters work.

Each museum class involves a theoretical part on a permanent exhibition of the museum and a practical part in a creative workshop, where participants learn about different ways of creating works of art.

The duration of each museum occupation is 90 minutes.

October 20 at 3 pm
“In the painter’s workshop”
Who is an artist and where does he work? What tools do he need and what preparatory work does he do? The answer to these questions can be obtained at the thematic lesson, as well as create your own work.

November 24 at 3 pm
“In the workshop of the schedule”
The lesson will tell about who the graphic artist is and how this profession differs from the artist-painter. Participants will learn what materials are needed to create a graphic work and present themselves in the role of graphic artist in a creative workshop.

December 15 at 3 pm
“In the workshop of the sculptor”
At the lesson, participants will learn the secrets of the sculptor’s profession, what tools and materials are needed to create a sculpture, how a planar image differs from a three-dimensional image, and what types of sculpture exist. In the workshop, participants will try themselves as real sculptors.

January 26 (2019) at 3 pm
“In the pottery workshop”
Participants will get acquainted with the collection of ancient Greek ceramics, learn about pottery art and vase painting, get an idea of ​​the purpose and application of ancient Greek vessels in public life, and in the course of the practical part will consolidate their knowledge.

“The heroic image in art”
On the Day of Defender of the Fatherland, the Art Museum named after I.N. Kramskoy will hold a special museum lesson for boys “Heroic image in art.” In the course of the theoretical part, participants will reflect on what it means to be strong, brave, courageous, as these qualities manifest, suggest how the artists portrayed courage, strength, the exposition will familiarize themselves with the image of the characters from different eras. In the third part of the lesson, you will be asked to fantasize about who the modern hero is and to create your own artwork with the help of specially prepared materials.

March 9 at 3 pm
“I am the sweetest in the world”
Especially for girls Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy prepared a museum lesson “I am in the world all the sweeter.” Occupation – a kind of journey that will introduce the images of women of different eras, their way of life and hobbies. Participants will examine the costumes of fashionistas from paintings by Russian artists, reflect on the characters of the models, and on what expressive means the artists use when writing portraits. The practice involves the creation of a sketch of the suit ladies or gentleman in a mixed technique.

April 27 at 3 pm
“Painting genres”
Participants will get acquainted on a constant exposition with different genres of the fine arts. Learn about the features of still life, portrait, landscape and genre paintings. The knowledge gained will be consolidated during the practical part of the lesson.

May 25 at 3 pm
“Visiting the royal scribe”
At the lesson, participants will take a trip to the past, learn the secrets of the pyramid country and visit the ancient Egyptian scribe. In the course of the practical part, they will consolidate their knowledge and try themselves in the role of ancient Egyptian scribes.
