November 4, 2017 Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy took part in the cultural and educational action “Night of the Arts”, the theme of which was “the 100th anniversary of the revolution of 1917”.

The action was held from 3 pm to 9 pm.

Within the framework of the National Unity Day and in connection with the “Night of the Arts” action, a visit to the main exposition of the museum and all temporary exhibitions (in the mode of self-examination), as well as all events held within the framework of the action, was free of charge.

The program “Nights of the Arts” included events of various orientations: a virtual exhibition, a family master class, a concert, a lecture, an express course in drawing posters, a film show.

During the action in the exhibition hall of the museum for all visitors a virtual exhibition “Graphics of 1917” (from the collection of the VGM named after INKramskoy) was demonstrated, introducing the works of Soviet painters and graphic artists: A.M. Lyubimova, E.A. Kibrik, B. Ioganson, V.I. Sumina, V.N. Meshkova, V.M. Shmohin and others.

From 15.00 to 17. 00 hours for the visitors with children in the lecture hall of the museum hosted a family animation workshop (8+). The participants worked on the creation of the animated film “City of Arts”, where they created an original urban space in collage technique and enlivened interesting stories in this city. The master-class teacher of the screen creativity studio “Telescope” Oles Skorobogatov conducted the master class.

From 16.00 to 17.30 on the second floor of the main exposition for music lovers the concert “Musical Sketches” (0+) was performed. The performers are laureates of regional and international contests – ensembles of cellists “CLASS-CELLO”, “Cello-Vecchi” and “Gentleman-show” (under the direction of Alla Selivanova), School No. 7, Voronezh. In the music program there were about twenty numbers, among which famous classical works (PI Tchaikovsky, MP Mussorgsky, J. Bizet), favorite popular melodies from animated and feature films, and variety compositions.

From 18.30 to 19.30 hours on the second floor of the exhibition hall lecture “Peter Bruegel the Elder on the eve of the Netherlands Revolution” (18+) was held. The lecture considered the works of the great artist in the context of the initial phase of the Netherlands Revolution. The lecture was conducted by the senior scientific employee of the museum Valery A. Shakin.

From 19.00 to 20.00 hours the lecture hall became a platform for conducting an express course on drawing creative posters “Cultural Revolution” (15+). The participants of the course got acquainted with the experience of the revolutionary poster of the last century and created their revolutionary posters.

At the end of the action in the exhibition hall from 20.00 to 21.00 hours the famous feature film of Sergey Eisenstein “Battleship Potemkin” (10+) was demonstrated. The picture, based on real events that occurred in June 1905, entered the gold fund of world cinema and was repeatedly recognized as one of the best films of all time.
