February 9, 2017 in the lecture hall of the VOKHM named after. I.N. Kramskoy, on the eve of the 180th anniversary of the death of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, a meeting was held with a local historian, member of the Union of Journalists Vasily Chirikov. During the meeting, entitled “Pushkin among the Voronezh steppes”, the author of the Voronezh publications spoke about the history of the monument to the great poet, which was established in Voronezh in 1999, and introduced the facts from the biography of the poet linking him to the Voronezh region.
