August 6 in the exhibition hall of the museum will open the exhibition “Voronezh and Voronezh in paintings and graphics from the collection of the museum.”

The exhibition is a kind of illustration to the book published in 2011 “Voronezh and Voronezh in paintings and graphics from the collection of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum named after I.N. Kramskoy ». The exposition includes urban landscapes of historical places of Voronezh, made by artists of the XVIII-XX centuries. Many of them depict the streets and architecture that have not been preserved, but there are paintings depicting the monuments of the past centuries that were still miraculously preserved – the Assumption Admiralty and St. Nicholas churches, the street leading to the Ilinsky church, the neighborhoods of the Oldenburg Palace in Ramoni and others [. The city is people whose lives and affairs form its history, traditions, culture. At the exhibition you can see portraits of famous townspeople who posed for artists working in Voronezh, these are well-known scientists, cultural figures, and military men. About 100 picturesque and graphic works will be introduced to the realities of our city’s existence in different historical periods.

The exhibition will last until August 28.

Admission cost: for adults – 150 rubles, for privileged categories of citizens – 100 rubles.
